A few tunes by U2 probably (less than 10 songs).

I've always liked "Electrical Storm" except for Bono's typically bombastic and completely unnecessary YEEARarhhagHhHEEY shriek half way through. My liking of it is probably down to William Orbit's fantastic ambient production more than anything the band actually did.

I liked a few Elton John songs when I was younger but strongly plead insanity as it was the only tape in my mum's car and I was under 10 at the time (hence had no control over the tape player).

I'm still in therapy because of that :blackeye:

:brow: Hmm... a good observation, Taboo. Gotta love that paradox! :D

Anywho, as for this goth/punk-rock JD/NO chick... heh...

'Hurt' ~ New Order. 'Rappers Delight' ~ The Sugarhill Gang. 'What is Love?' ~ Haddaway. 'Boy' ~ Book of Love. 'Trapped in a Box' ~ No Doubt. 'Sex ' and 'Metro' ~ Berlin. 'A Message to You Rudy' ~ The Specials. 'Scratch' ~ Contagion. 'Christf*ck' ~ Wumpscut. 'Glycerine' ~ Bush. 'Down in It' ~ Nine Inch Nails. The entire first album by The Polyphonic Spree. The first two albums by David Gray. All three Coldplay albums. 'Martyr' ~ Depeche Mode. Oh yeah, and this album titled 'Waiting for the Sirens' Call' by this band called New Order!!!

Heh, no shame, baby. Oh yeah! :thumb:

Bet they won't in the end though, there was talk of it a while back but they still haven't done so. It's about time they recorded new songs though, I think most people are crying out for it given the tripe that fills the chats these days.

And now, some more quirky surprises that actually make NOOL's R2 o'S smile... more or less.

'Big in Japan' ~ Alphaville. 'Lovesong' ~ The Cure. 'Fascination' ~ The Human League. 'Lonely People' ~ America. 'Forever' ~ Sylver. Any good old-school freestyle song. [Having grown up in Miami most of my life, born and raised, hearing this sort of music in this day and age would bring back some rather good memories. Seriously. 'The Soul Sonic Force!!!'] The 'Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon' Soundtrack album, 'Dear My Friend'. Anything by Gackt, L'Arc En Ciel, and/or Dir en Grey [Japanese rockers extraordinaire!] and Clay Aiken. 'Nuff said there.

edit: actually now I don't know if this worked as I can't see youtubes, not even embedded ones at work.

I have discovered - in this country anyway - if you are not 100% proficient with bloody stupid Excel and even more ridiculous Powerpoint.........you can't get a job.

Whatever happened to common sense (said example apart......) and experience?
