Though you just know Neil Tennant can felch like a motherfucker.
Erasure was better for a brief period in about 1987, but PSB have had the better quality -ahem- 'out-put' overall, despite a few turkeys here and there along the way.

I've seen them both live..Fuck knows how that happened. 
I liked a couple of each bands songs when I was at school,mid to late eighties. Erasure were deffo more gay,which was some feat considering only one of them was actually gay(Vince Clarke does'nt bum men as far as i'm aware,could be wrong

Vince! Gay? He's never been a slut about it if he is. Never heard any evidence,or stories of spunk guzzling groupies..Not even a whiff of latex hoochie shorts.. he could be noshing anything in trousers for all I know but I've never heard owt.

Don't make me do a top-5 list of fave songs for BOTH bands. 
Got alot of time for The Innocents but never really went out of my way to seek out any other Erasure stuff. I remember being in a club around 2004 and hearing their cover of Peter Gabriel's Solsbury Hill and thinking "this is sacrilege!" why did they bother? Then they did an uber-camp Abba cover backed with a ridiculous promo of them dressed in frocks? What a fcuking waste of time 
Having said that, the first side of The Innocents really is near flawless electronic pop but they lost it a bit at the start of the second half... all the songs start to sound like anagrams of each other. Hallowed Ground is probably my favourite track off that one and Stephen Hague's production is top notch.
PSB are the clear winners for me even if they haven't done a decent full length album in over a decade. It's hard to argue with compilations like PopArt, Disco 3, Alternative and albums like Very, Relentless and Nightlife

FUNDAMENTAL is ace! As for Erasure, their album "ERASURE" was the last album I really liked by them,although COWBOY had a few good choons,OTHER PEOPLE'S SONGS is the first album of theirs I've ever sent back.Utter shite,apart from Solsbury Hill which I thought was the best of the bunch. They've done some good cover versions over the years,Supernature,NO G.D.M.,ABBA-esque,Gimme Gimme Gimme. So why they chose songs that you'd expect to hear at a karaoke I'll never know.

Trying to decide between keyboardists Chris Lowe and Vince Clarke is so hard. You make it so hard. Bah, now I've got to go listen to Behaviour.
I like the Pets a bit more than erasure musically, but I like the fun aspect to erasure's shows (less dramatic and more wheee! party!). That said, I haven't bought anything from erasure since Cowboy. I own a lots of PSB because they turned out some classy tracks and then there's the whole of Relentless and Alternative.
Vince has a wife and a kid up in Vermont somewhere, if I recall correct. Can't say the same about Chris (unless that after party was more substance-fuelled than I remember). 
Some sort of Tennant/Bell dance off ala the "Sometimes" video would be really funny.

I like 'em both. I knew I'd be in the minority by voting Erasure, but I did it anyway. I'm thinking early Earasure, though, not anything they've done in the last 10 years. Plus, while both have the type of voice that could get on one's nerves after a while, Neil Tenant does do that for me on occasion.

all Vince's songs sound the same to me, just that the synths change with the trends...

Pet Shop Boys, I guess, just because I've heard more of their songs and most of the mid-lates 80s stuff is pretty ok (haven't heard much of their stuff afterwards though...any good?)
Erasure just seems kind of one-note and disposable...

Pet Shop Boys - even saw 'em a couple of weeks back in Hammersmith! Their DJ gig with Barney & Hooky was very good, too!
Erasure - erm, only really liked one of their songs "Drama!" - nothing else really...
Erasure, although I love PSB a ton, Erasure wins it for me, but mostly because Cowboy is one of my favorite cd's of all time. Also I find myself listening to them a lot more than PSB.
