Richard Wright.Played one game against Malta(i think).A truly dismal performance.

Good list Tim. Can't argue with that.

Take out Mariner,he was a decent player.

Shaun Wright-Philips is a current one. Gareth Southgate, infact any of the big players who've missed a penalty for England. Wankers.

Too many shite players got their chance in the 90's, especially that tour we did when none of the Big Boys would release players.

Tony Dorigo Earl Barrett John Salako Keith Curle Andy Sinton

Best one in recent year though has to be Michael Ricketts - can't believe he was genuinely the form player in the Prem at that time. Fcuk me, how times change.

that's where you're wrong! i'd quite happily tell him that he was lucky to earn a place which was surely because of who he played for, especially given how often he was shoved off the pitch by "lesser" players

thought of another one - steve ojomoh

Yep,i have to agree with that, even though i'm an Ipswich Town fan. However ,the person further up the board who thinks that Paul Mariner rates as one of the worst England players ought to think back to some of the crucial goals he contributed to the English cause.

The 14 cunts who just put a shirt on for that tripe tonight.

Jermaine Defoe is the worst player I have ever seen in and England Shirt. Fuckng Platt called him "the most natural goalscorer in the Premiership" tonight- that's why he's fourth choice at Tottenham Hotspur.

Andy Cole was always atrocious for England. One of my favourite moments in football history was when he scored his first and only goal for England in the last minute against the mighty Albania, and in his post match interview all he went on about was how that goal proved all his doubters wrong and how he belonged at top level. Saint Sven quickly dropped him...

I have no idea how Stewart Downing is still playing for Middlesborough, nevermind England.

We've got an Incompent prick in charge.

Didn anyone see the pictures of McClaren and Venables in the stand? Its pretty obvious those two do not like each other at all!

You have no idea..Agreed. He gets crosses in,lots of them.Which is his job. Maybe he's not up to England on this seasons form, granted, but he's still one of our most effective players

Did'nt Maclaren appoint Venners? Either way,we are well pleased at Boro to be shot of Mr Negative :thumb:

I read somewhere today (F365?) that the FA would lose 2.5mil if they sack McClaren but over 100 mil if England doesn't qualify for Euro. I'm not sure if the FA has the testicular fortitude needed to really evaluate the situation on merit and fire or not based on that. I mean, they gave into public outcry for an English manager.

question is who else could manage??

Venables had his chance cocked it and would again...would be bad if McClaren was gotten rid of now and Venners had to take his place.

Explain?

Semi finals of Euro Championships isn't too bad, when was the last time US of god damn A won anything outside of their concaf qualifying group?

apples and oranges... (comparing the US to England in footballing terms--come on--ask me when the last time San Marino got out of euro qualifying jeebus! I don't even follow US football--boring)

He cocked it up by being investigated for shady business while manager and letting it distract him?? England won less than 50% of the games under his tenure--same as Taylor!! The much maligned Eeeviiil Sven has a better record.

Maybe he's being held in higher regard because of the shit that's immediately proceeded and followed rather than on his own merit--which maybe with Euro, cocked it up is too strong a term, but he didn't perform up to snuff.
