Creamola Foam
A sort of powdered lemonade. It was astonshingly good in battle against hangovers, nothing else has the same argon LASER like ability to cut through the donkey shite in yer gob.
Apparently the company who made it, also made some other famous thing, and were bought out by $GREEDY_CORPORATE_SCUM_CUNTS to get that recipe. In the process, it is believed that the original recipe for creamola foam was lost.
there's a couple of retro-sweetie sites, me nearest and dearest is always scanning them.
Ermmm one of them is called "aquarterof.com" I think.
There used to be a thick Hershey chocolate almond bar that came in a gold wrapper. I think it might've been called Pot of Gold. Anyhow, I cannae find them anywhere for the past few years. There were also these cookie dough candy bars (Keebler? Nabisco?) I can't remember what they're called but I haven't seen them in over 6 months even though they haven't been around that long. I'm not into hard candy, so I'm sure there lots of it that you don't see anymore and I just haven't noticed.
Read an interesting thing about Hershy bars once. Apparently they taste a bit sour (especially to the non-US pallet) because back in the day, and because the US is such a stupendously large place, milk would never make it to the choccie factory quite as fresh as it should. When dairy logistics improved, the sour taste had to be engineered back in because people had gotten used to it.
Had my first taste of a Hershey in Chicago.....spat it out so hard it broke a window on the 83rd floor of Sears Tower

Marathon Bars...but I have just discovered that Cadbury makes something called a Curly Wurly that is the same thing...

What's happened to scorched peanut toffee bars?
Why is it that nothing tastes the same anymore? Things I remember being yummy as a child taste bland these days. A few that come to mind are Yo Yo biscuits, Wagon Wheels, Chokito bars and even the girl guide biscuits are crap now.

We used to get Marathon bars and they turned into Snickers. Curly Wurlys are absolutely lush. Thin toffee in a swirly shape coated with cadburys chocolate. I've pulled many a filling out with them!

I think we used to have fire balls too, but they were called "red hot jaw breakers" . . . loved them. Kids today don't have any fun. It only takes one kid to almost choke on a sweet and it's ruined for everone!

Actually, you don't see jawbreakers around much anymore. But, fireballs, from what I remember, were the size of gumballs and were a dark pinkish-reddish color and tasted like cinnamon.
Giant bubblegum eggs, solid. You had to gnaw off a chunk and chew it. Ah, preschool with Bobby Drew.

Others I remember from being a kid: Candy tabs- literally sweetie cigs. Giant golf balls, which I think were bubble gum. Candy lipsticks and whistles.
I can also vaguely remember chewy bars, which had all those bits that fizzed and crackled in your mouth. Cannot think of the name for the life of me though but used to love them.

They probably messed with the candy formulas. It seems like a lot of the candy bars don't taste the same (less sugar, more chalky, yuk)
I still miss many of my favourites from Germany like Prinzenrolle. Lucky Aldi now carries some precious Haribo childhood memories in store for me. :)

Candy tabs . . . forgot all about them - you used to get collectors pictures in the pack. Think the giant golf balls were jaw breakers.

I once collected the Star Wars Pex dispensers, although they're all at my mom's house now.
Another candy you don't see much of are those mint cookie Hershey Bars. They were popular in the mid '90s, but I don't see them anywhere anymore.
A treat I cannot find anymore is the Midnight Dark Milky Way ice cream. Damn it, that was my fave flavor! :(

Sorry, Sunshine, but I think the nearest location to your state is in Georgia. It's not a nationwide store... ! But the experience was really awesome.
Dont know about sweets, but was at Knutsford services last week at the shop was selling cans of Quattro. It was fuckin horrible years ago, so didn't buy one!
