one of my VERY favourite bands... really cannot get enough of them...
saw them in february in manchester and it was one of the best shows i've ever seen 
seeing them on august 21st with foo fighters, august 25th at leeds and august 30 in wolverhampton!! haha can't wait
as for year zero... fuckin WOW!
it's great! i love everything trent has ever put out, and this is no exception!!

I forgot to add that And All That Could Have Been is one of the greatest live albums of all time.
Just as well Year Zero is good as I was thinking it was time for him to get back on the smack!

If it's even close to Pretty Hate Machine of The Downward Spiral, it's worth looking into. I shall have to check it out.

And yes, Closer is class, but prefer StarFuckers Inc. That fat Courtney Love cracks me up every time.
I invested in it when it came out, i have to say i'm very mixed about it, started listening and thought it was good then tailed off into bordem, maybe i haven't given it enough spins yet, so we'll see,

Yeah, more often than not, I have to give something multiple listens in order to give it a fair rating.

It is hard work, but persevere. It's worth it.
Trent was right in describing it as a 'Bomb Squad style' album. The use of synths are fantastic.
Must pick up the new DVD at some point.
Can anyone explain the elaborate concept behind year Zero? I understand it's supposed to represent a dystopian future, but what's the crack with the tshirts and the mass marketing etc?

Don't like everything, but some tunes are just blissful from a musical and technogeek-trainspotter point of view.

What the man says. The DVD pays for itself w/ just a couple of the stills incl. Sets a standard eh. A Dream field all their own. TReznor made his History though might just be too smart by 1/2, at Times.
I only have With Teeth and the Hurt single, can anyone recommend an easier album of the band to get into please? :)

but aside from albums, NIN also have some AMAZING ep's.. such as "broken" which has some of the best songs on it in my opinion, "last" and "happiness in slavery"
when i saw them in february, last was the best live track
they are simply class :D

got phm yeeeeeeaaarrs ago, was alright , i think he takes himself a bit too seriously and can sound a bit of a whining tosser from time to time, head like a hole, kurt cobains favourite tune?
Never listened to NIN nails before, i'm actually a bit scared to listen to them. Sound as if they might be a bit heavy for me

And yes, Big Black's version of The Model is kerlass.
I like them, hard to not find quality tracks on each of their albums, although their fan base is lame. At Coachella 2 years back I was able to push myself from like the 30th row back to 3rd row then asked security to pull me out of the man pile beneath Trent's feet because NIN weren't that great that night and not worth staving off weakling fans from all angles. Prodigy that night were pretty fucking good though.
Love It! The only thing that annoys me are the vocal harmonies in the middle of Great Destroyer. Kinda cheesy. About their fanbase: Some of the most annoying people ever at some of their shows. Saw them at Red Rocks w/ Bauhaus. I'll stop there.

Pretty Hate Machine is actually one of their weaker albums IMO. I like the Fragile - their most underrated record of them all: there's some really ambitious arrangements on there - and so many different moods. Downward Spiral is excellent but you got to be in a certain kind of frame of mind to listen to that record - it's very hard going to the uninitiated. In some way it reminds me of In Utero by Nirvana - both are really angry and intense records.
Not got the new one yet - heard all of the tracks on the myspace site - very electronic sounding and glitchy.
