I've just been given a bottle of Baron De Ley Reserva 2001 Rioja wine at work.

I wont like, so does anyone want a glass?

Either that or it goes in next weeks Steak and Kidney pie.

Dear boy, this is one of the most marvelous Riojas you can find for the price. If you don't fancy it yourself please do find the decency to share within the confines of the chatroom on saturday evening!

(I don't know)

:nono:

PS. All being well I shall be finding myself naked in the chatroom, provided Mrs Alf is fast asleep, sipping a glass of Kasteel Blonde (11%ABV), Belgiums finest. See you there chaps.

I lived on the edge of the Rioja for two years and after trying many of their wines from various regions, I can without doubt say that for me, they're the finest in the world. Wines from the Alava region are stunning, also Logrono. It was a pleasure to get absolutely ratted on four bottles of Marques De Caceres 1951... *hic* accompanied by several large bowls of fabada Asturiana :) *burp* while sitting on a mountainside *yawn*

Overpriced (even for Tesco!)

The rich, fruity Spanish are really good at the moment.

What?

I believe I gave it someone as a birthday present.

I'm probably going to be getting a fair bit of wine until the end of the year. Even though I have pleaded with them just to get me the monetary equivalent in Lager.
