For those of you from here who are going, there's been a change of venue and it is now at the Academy.

You lucky thing.

I'd LOVE to go to that.

Ta, I actually went to the Apollo last time thinking the gig was there. Lilly Savage was on.

Did you get tickets in the end?!

But not the "Academy" proper, right, 'cos it's still being refurbished???

I thought they meant the small hall in the Union itself....???

Its in the refurbished Academy 1. I think its finished. I havent been down there in months so i dont know what it looks like, but artists impressions made it look like it was designed by a twat.

Its makes you wonder how many tickets they didnt sell... They did sell out the Academy quite quickly in March i recall.

Isn't that a bit strange? The gig's a month away yet.

Depends. If they've sold next to nothing, (not entirely inconcievable) they may just be pulling damage limitation. Especially if nothing has been sold for weeks.

Get the second. Brilliant! First album is too long. Some good tracks though.

Got tickets to see em at Brixton Academy in late Oct. Can't wait.

Yeah, but now the studes are back with their loan-inflated bank accounts you'd think the tickets would start to shift, eh??

That said, LCD Soundsystem thinking they could fill the Apollo was pure hubris from the outset.

They probably thought they could get a decent crowd in there. They did sell out the Academy last time.

Shame though. I would have preferred to see them in the Apollo. Although I suppose the Academy is closer to home...

Pre match in Kro Bar then?

Kro-Bar?! I'd have thought that place would be far too full of left-liberal would-be intellectual types for your liking, Li?!!?

Is there more than one Kro-Bar?

We went in 'a' Kro-Bar in Piccadilly Gardens before the Nolan thingy. Bit too Lahndahn-ish for you Norvern Boys, no?! Lots of light and chrome and foreign-sounding beers!!

I might well be up for this, as the London gig is on a Tuesday, and I might be up in Telford that week...

So, it might well be Manc for two weekends running! :)

They're great, btw - been on constant play in my iPod for the past week or so...

There's 3: one in Piccadilly; a little one all of 30 seconds walk from the venue; and another big 'un a bit further up Oxford Road.

But, yes: they have the distinct whiff of southern poofiness about them.

As long as they sell bitter and have an outside area for smokers, it'll be fine! :)

Yeah, I'll be there. Few from here going I think: me, JG, Leggy, Gordie, Mickey Way.

Probably be in the Canterbury for pre-match aperitifs, will let you know.

Quite right. But Blackcurrant beer!

That, and its better than Jabez Clegg and The Oxford.

Right, booked a ticket for the Manc gig - will probably train it down on Sunday morning, and go directly from Manchester to Telford on the Monday morning... Will think about that when I get back from Vegas! :)

From 3:30? Blimey, that doesn't give me much time to go round the Urbis museum!

I'll be in there until 6, at least.

Lass O' Gowrie sounds like a good pub to me - fine ales and a "tipsy hedgehog" (chocolate dessert)...

I'm sold!

Does anyone have their 'No Love Lost' cover? I'd love to get hold of it but I don't want to look for some obscure single, just for that.

I know they owe NO much.

It might be on US iTunes? It's an extra track on their "All My Friends" UK iTunes EP, otherwise it's on a promo CD of "All My Friends" (pretty rare), or a split 7" single with Arcade Fire (supposed to be on sale on both the LCD/Arcade Fire websites, but not yet)...
