My Bloody Valentine will go on the road next summer. 15 Nov 07 - My Bloody Valentine are getting back together, and they're playing three UK dates next summer.
The indie legends will grace London's Roundhouse on 20 June, Manchester Apollo on the 28th and Glasgow Barrowlands on 02 July.
Kevin Shields told 6 Music back in June that the band were considering dates, and there have also been rumours that they would reform for Coachella festival in California, but so far just these three dates have been announced.
It's 16 years since they last played live and the band haven't released an album since Loveless in 1991.
But while a lot of people will be excited by this news, Alan McGee - whose label Creation they nearly bankrupt recording Loveless -still maintains they're not that good:
"It was a joke, the whole thing from day one. The songwriting was abonimable, basically they used to make an 8 minute noise and people used to call it art, when basically it was just bad rock music."
It is, of course, the latest in a long line of reunions, but Robert from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club thinks thats not necessarily a bad thing:
"If they've still got good music to make then I'm all for it. But there's always that suspicion that its kinda just for money and this and that. But I guess you can probably do a lot easier sh*t for money these days than tour in a rock band."
Tickets for the three gigs go on sale this Friday. (16th)
