I'll be around. Pally's a bit limited for pubs. There's one decent one near the overland station but I'll be fcut if I can remember its name at the moment - it'll come to me - and you don't wanna be drinking in Wood Green, if you have the choice. Nasty area.
Perhaps best off drinking in Muzzy Hill, which is a stone's throw away, easily reachable on the W7 from Finsbree Park. Would recommend the Victoria Stakes at the crossroads of Priory Road and Ally Pally's approach road but then it's an uphill walk to the Pally, which you don't wanna be doing after a couple of liveners. Much easier to just start in the Hill and then walk down to the Pally!
Strictly juice for me these days anyway, so up nor down doesn't matter, but it would be good to meet up with people beforehand.
Did think about Friday as well, but got Buzzcocks at Indigo2 that night now.

Yep, defo. We arranged to meet there before that awards thingy a couple of years back ... and it was shut for a refurbishment! 
Actually used to live in a flat slap-bang next to the roundabout, before I moved to Crouch End. Village was two boozers back then - Ritchies for the underage, then Swiss Cottage next door.
Strangely, Village just seems to be full of Greek/Turkish lads and lasses of a weekend now - when there's none of them actually living in Muzzy Hill itself?

Think the Village is probs yer best bet.
Don't go via Highgate though. Northern Line is shite. Easiest just to jump the W7 at Finsbree Park and it takes you all the way to the terminus, which is in Muswell Hill, opposite the boozer itself. Bay A, Stroud Green side.

Or get the Norvern line ALL the way to Highgate and get a bus to Muzzy Hill from there. I'd avoid the Norvern Line like the plague, however. It's shite.

Saw 'em in Blackpool last night.They were awesome.Opened with PIONEER TO THE FALLS which is epic.They were right to encore with songs from TURN ON THE BRIGHT LIGHTS as I think it's still their best album.
Pretty much the same set as all year. Nice to hear Hands Way though.
It was a good gig, but not a patch on Zurich or Berlin.
Did you get up front Liam? It was chock-a-block when we came in,we were stood where DJ Scruff was spinning tunes at NO last year.

Slow gig I thought. Took a long time to get going. Interpol have way too many longeurs and not enough oomph which is fine in a small venue but I did feel that a big venue gave too much leeway to the fan of the chinstroking variety. Far too many people stood around pontificating it all.
The lager was shit too. Who The Fuck drinks Carlsberg?
Still, what do we care? Me and Gemima, Timbo, Nickos, Dave Clarke and Gary & Gordie basically just had a good giggle, with Interpol for a backing track. I wouldn't swap some people's company for the world. Qualidee night, as ever.
Those cocktails weren't bad either for that price!
Got back at 1.30, struck lucky actually. Railway engineering works so the train was fast to Strood and then a bus, train got there quicker than it would have if it had been a stopper, was home ten mins before the scheduled arrival time. Not often you can say that with Southeastern railway!
Enjoyed meself, despite having to leave early, kind of Interpol to play in the background while we were chatting!
What was the first encore track? Couldn't quite see it on the setlist.

first time at Ally Pally, what a nightmare of a journey. still was worth it, great to meet up again.
finally got back to my car around 2ish I think. where i tucked myself up on the back seat.
felt like shit this morning.

Ally Pally is a great venue but what a fecking pain in the arse to get to. Had to leave during the last song - shuttle bus, tube, another tube, train and then car home. In bed by 0230 
Still, that rendition of Not Even Jail was worth it alone. And Specialist for an encore. Smashin.

We were wondering what exactly a Brazillian Donut was. I guess it must have had something to with the amount of pubic hair.
