OASIS fer me. Remember hearing their live Radio 1 debut in late 93. As soon as I heard Supersonic, that was me hooked. Also got ma two youngest brothers into them when they were only 9/10. They have now seen them a few times. They released a few bits of pish after WTSMG. But they have always put some cracking tunes on every album they've done.
I will be at a gig on the next tour. Hopefully :D
Saw em at Glastonbury in 2005 Shug utter bollocks, can't stand Liam's whinning voice, not that geezer in Oasis 
Nirvana, saw just about every other Sub pop band that hit these shores but somehow never saw Nirvana.

Seen the bloody Jam, and various other tossers there, but missed Joy Division 
Ride...Had tickets for Leicster gig in 93,but clashed with the footy or summat.
Similarly had tickets for Deacon Blue,at Newcassel
but never bothered.. If only to hear "Dignity" live.Lurvve it!
Was far to young to have seen Joy Division...but would have loved to,natch.
I wanted to see Daft Punk on tour this year but no dates ever matched up for me. i want to see goldfrapp too.
i wouldn't mind to see metallica too

This basically the Time Machine thread again ain't it? Anyways , the only band i'm that pissed of that i never saw is of course Joy Division.
As for Oasis , saw them in Nottingham 2002 - was alright but i'm not a hardcore fan .Not up there with the best gigs i've ever been to
New Order. I had to miss them back in 2005 because of a frickin' history final exam.
The Pet Shop Boys -- missed them in 2002 and in 2006. In 2002, because there was a huge article in the paper about their sexuality and therefore, my mother wouldn't let me go. In 2006, my job wouldn't let me take a Friday off to go up to Boston.

Saw them at Main Rd mate,in the mid 90s, Awesome show, then they start releasing alsorts of pish. The Manic Street Preachers won it for me that night, as well as our hired motor being nicked, or so we thought, we just couldnt find the fucker, around 1.30am ish the coppers found it in some street in the heart of Moss side intacked. "couldni believe it" 
Its the Mondays for me, a still cani believe av no saw them yet.

Radiohead, dunno why I've not seen them.
Don't think I've seen Depeche Mode either.
Bowie's best was well behind him by the time I got into him. The cost these days is prohibitive.
U2, cost too much these days.
I'm sure there are others but they are the glaring omissions.
Had tickets for the Reading festival when New Order and The The were on. Loaded the car, then called in at the local pub to see whether our mate Mark wanted to come. He did, so we sat at the bar and waited until he finished his shift.
The rest is history...

New Order - I had tickets during the Republic years, but my parents stopped me from seeing my girlfrined who had the tickets in her possesion when we broke up, and she took a friend instead of giving me the tickets back
(though I heard from her the concert was only 20 minutes long as Barney was pissed and left the stage early)
During the Get Ready days I was off on a deployment
and the WFTSC I was in Iraq when they came 'round

Social Distortion - I have tried to go to at least 5 of thier concerts, but I have yet to have anyone follow through in going with me... don't want to go alone to a concert, and wife won't:(
Chris Isaac - Had the tickets in hand, but wife had something else 'more important' to do, so I opted out to make her happy

Yup, March 1992, and it was Ainley's record shop where the record signing was - ah memories...

erm...maybe they didn't let you go because they didn't play there in 88...might have been afraid you was about a year too early!!!
have no idea why I didn't see Oasis on their first US tour in Portland at Satyricon.
Cabaret Voltaire in their prime was always a big wish, missed them in San Francisco by one day, the gig poster isn't that much of a solace.....
Madness or Television as well, I was out of state when the reformed Madness hit Portland last time, and I wasn't old enough to get into the heavy metal bar the only other time they played out here. Same age factor with Television back then, and as far as I know they never played any reunion shows in the northwest. 
Plaid, Boards of Canada or Anthony Rother. Think Plaid are in London in a couple of weeks, but I think it's when we're in Belgium? Always wanted to see Adult. but then they played some Electro festival in Camden last month and when push came to shove I couldnae be arsed.

Good choice, though I took this as reading "bands you could've seen, but haven't bothered" - Talking Heads broke up in, what, 1983 or summat didn't they? So we would've all been dead young. Did have an older-ex when I was a young 'un who saw them at the Astoria though, but the gig didn't really mean much to her and she couldn't see that I was gobsmacked she'd actually seen 'em!

I think that the Talking Heads went on until about 1991, Al. But not sure that they toured much over here after about 84...
Yeah, Orbital I'm still gutted about. Especially as they played some of their last gigs here in Brighton. I thought- "there'll be loads of tickets left. I'll get em later- gotta skin up now"
