I'll be at Brixton on the 11th, probably going to go straight to the venue unless there is a Viking representation, whereby it will be the Canterbury Arms beforehand.
Saw em at Wembley in December '03? Greatest Hits tour, fookin great from what little I remember. We started drinking at 11 in the morning cos Celtic played Rangers at 12.

Went about five years ago to Brixton Academy when they were doing that 'Singles' tour.
I only really like one song of theirs - Faster.
And what did they fcuking do?!
They played a slow version of it!

Saw them at Southampton Uni in 1991. They played for 25 mins before crying offstage claiming that someone had pulled at their mike stand. Welsh poofs.
Saw them 20+ times in the early 90s, but have only seen them four times since Richey fucked off. James is a fantastic guitarist and a real gentleman, and Sean a top drummer, but Wire is a pretentious twat. Met them in 1991 when I was working security at their gig in Stoke, Richey was very polite and interesting to talk to (common interests in history was a good start), and James was just a really nice guy.

Saw them at Glastonbury 1994 , not bad aye
Had dream about them last night 
They were doing The Everlasting but a different version.That was the song they said they had attempted to do something in a similar vein/spirit to JD's The Eternal
glastonbury 2000 i think ?? ,average.glastonbury this year-one of the best things i heard.well done 
Just been, and it blew me away, started with motorcycle emptiness, finished with design for life, inbetween scream to a sigh, kevin carter, everything must go, slash and burn to name a few and had nicky wire going around in a skirt after james dean bradfield's twosomes and a glowing tribute to richey

I thought it was shit, meself. They play for far too long these days, I was bored by the time of Slash & Burn. Too many new songs and too much pandering to the obsessive crowd. Motorcycle Emptiness and You Love Us were good, besides that it was a most forgettable experience.
I saw em at Glasto (twice) and Millenium eve - enjoyed em, but that Nicky Wire is a twat like Robert Smith

The last one they played at their final gig at the Astoria in 1994 I would think - off the top of my head it was You Love Us.

Well I really enjoyed it last night. 3rd time in 5 years. I think they're more fun live than on record to be honest. Great light show, nice and loud. I do remember seeing their festival appearances on TV over the summer and it didn't look as good. Maybe it helps to have those obsessive fans there. However I do think they should save Motorcycle Emptiness till nearer the end of the gig. At that point I'm usually drunk and less inhibited about getting the air guitar out. Also liked Cherry Ghost supporting. They reminded me of Starsailor and The Verve. in a good way. Yes I admit i kinda like Stasailor ("like" with a small l). Speaking of good support, anyone gong to CVhemicals at Bricton on Thurs (tomorrow) may like to know that Simian Mobile Disco support.

i cant make it tomoz, i have to try see them in the new year, i wanna see the killers in the new year aswell, with also foo fighters aswell, may actually venture out of london next year for concerts, lol

And here it is, the last live performance Richey ever did with the band.....
what a pratSaw them in Brum last Saturday and great show. Saw them 98ish before that and thought last week was better (although thoasands of pints of stella might have clouded my memory since).
It's all a bit predictable now though innit? Much preferred the old days when you had no idea what was next, even if there would be a next one, and more often than not the stage got trashed to signify the end of the show.

i couldnt drink on tuesday, since i had to drive back home, and it was a terrific performance, with a james dean bradfield doing a two song acoustic set, take note barney
