I've just been listening to the soundtrack for the film 'Restless Natives' - a low budget 1980s Scottish film - soundtrack by Big Country.
Not a huge Big Country fan, but the music goes exceptionally well with the action and adds to the film as a whole.
I also think the same about Ennio Morricone's soundtracks for the 'Spaghetti Westerns'.
John Hughes' choices for many 'Bratpack' films - including New Order, Psychadelic Furs, The Smiths, Depeche Mode...
Jim Jarmusch's choice of Neil Young doing the soundtrack for 'Dead Man' - absolutely brilliant.
There's an art to choosing (and creating) music for film.
Anyone got any favourites as suggestions of films to watch with great soundtracks?
No Jeff, I'm not interested in musical theatre...
