Top Tip - I became a lot happier with this place once I stopped thinking I had to read everything that was posted by anyone. I don't even think about opening threads that I know I won't like, because of the poster or subject, and, conversely, there are certain posters and subjects that I always try to read.
Makes sense really: I don't go to gigs I know I don't like, I don't watch much telly, I don't read what certain journalists write, I don’t listen to commercial radio stations or hang around in places that I know will be full of dickheads. I don’t eat in seafood restaurants and I don’t try to pull women who I know I won’t enjoy sleeping with. I don’t take acid or speed and I never start conversations about gardening or science fiction or Peter Andre.
Most people try to do the same. Other people seem to spend their lives seeking out things to be horrified, offended, bored or fed up about. I have a name for them - Mary Witehouses. She pioneered this kind of perverse behaviour by staying up late to watch mucky films then moaning about it.
The stupid bitch.
