What's everyone have then ? A form of virtual round.

Me, I'm partial to a pint of bitter, or, preferably, cider of the strongbow form.

Depending on mood and occasion....

Jack Daniels and Coke, Vodka and Cranberry, Vodka Redbull, pint of Hoegarden, Bailey's, Smirnoff Ice, or if I REALLY don't have to get up in the morning, a pint of Stella.

CHEERS!

Oh, can't believe I forgot my fave - Tequila! :rolling:

Jack Daniels and Diet Coke (preferably Pepsi Max pub permitting) my tipple of choice with much ice and a slice of lem.

White wine for meals and evenings in with the lady, red wine makes me ill and should only be used on mock-meat.

Blue Lagoon for cocktail evenings and Pepsi Max for watching movies and after any form of strenuous exercise (doing the garden inclusive).

I rather enjoy Southern Comfort but I've been warned this is the female equivalent of JD.

So Huntsy, what is the female equivalent of NO, then?

Make mine a pint of Summer Lightning, please?

And later on a bottle of tequila would come in handy.

Stella by the gallon. Though can be swayed by Kronenburg and Lowenbrau. Anything above 5% only though. The Hultsfred festival was a nightmare, nothing above 3%. :nonono:

Gin & tonics when I'm being sensible. Absinthe when I fancy getting stupid behind close doors, or possibly Vodka/redbull/champers if I'm feeling flush.

White wine over red as a rule, though don't mind either. Rather partial to a Chablis or Sancerre if I had the whole spectrum to chose from though.

strongbow? surely you jest? have to have blackcurrant in that to disguise the taste! blackthorn has to be the way to go.

mines a stella please... or kronenburg any continental lager will do... definetely no aussie lager though

Oh yeah, I forgot gin&tonic and white wine (dry though please). I actually prefer red wine but it makes me totally ill.

Cider? Even just the smell makes me.....:\puke:

Speaking of which, what foul drinks did everyone favour when they were teenagers and hanging around parks and getting drunkon their pocket money? 20/20 and Diamond White were both popular around our way, as well as 3 litre bottles of cheap cider - yuk, tramp juice

Mad Dog 20/20 !!!!!! Magnificent !!!!!! Quite partial to a fine red wine as well. As for cider, I drink Blackthorn as well, depends on what's on offer. It's more of a summer drink for me though, I switch in the winter to other drinks.

How much would you need paying to drink a big glass of Strawberry 20/20 nowadays?

Actually, rethink that - I don't think 20/20 was ever drunk out of a glass - got to be straight out the bottle in true young hooligan style, hasn't it?!

Used to drink Green Monsters to get really c***ed. Snakebite with blue bols in it. Looks like you're drinking Fairly liquid. Conversation opener though - everyone wants to know what you're drinking. Stick a Baileys in there too to get truly w***ered. And call it a Septic Brain Tumour. Looks nasty, mind. Had a reunion with old school (old skool?) friends recently and ordered SBT's in a swish London nitespot, and after an initial refusal they eventually agreed to serve 'em. For twenty bloody notes per pint!

used to drink snakebite with black & pernod. jg is rather partial to a crack whore. my cocktail of choice would be a white russian. sbt's sound like monkeys brains - the baileys curdle - but thats a shooter. if want to get bladdered these days get a pint of blackthorn, drink half of it & add an archers peach scnapps, lovely, but a few of those.....

God, I wouldn't want to know! Have a particularly vivid memory of my best mate puking after a gallon of Strawberry 20/20 and it being bright pink with whole chips in it

Look CAN you STOP this NOW.I have not had a drink in a week and nearly did a thread like this myself after HUNTSY FOOD one.But this is me wanting to have a GO,a bloody drink that is.If i have one then it IS ONE TOO MANY.I go out and lose a few DAYS.See when you don't HAVE to get up and have time on yer hands it is very easy and VERY enjoyable to GO OTT.But 3 years later and i say "WHAT HAPPENED".I have had a drink problem ALL my LIFE..you know the one..can't GET ENOUGH,hangovers etc.Great hobby though and this may just trigger a session comin on. Now what do i drink..anything but WHISKY ,although i HAVE JD,and can't stomach GIN since i trashed my bedroom when 16 after a BINGE.There is nothing clever about DRINKING and i don't like being CLEVER.So 's all round and SHUGZV will pay.Love all those crazy BOTTLED drinks in silly flavours but only drink about 8 pints then i have to do shorts ot bottles or i get :\puke:.Bet you are glad u asked this SILLY question. And don't forget the NUTS (not ME..KP,PLANTERS or CRISPs).:D Popping out to the local soon i guess..THE BLOB SHOP. These days its Guinness in winter, Stella in summer, Bloody Mary's if I'm feeling bloated and, er, not on the pull.

As a yoof it used to be anything we could get our greasy little mitts on, frankly, but a devastatingly cheap and potent brew called Thunderbird was favoured round our way. Mmmmmmmm - fortified wine down in one.....halcyon days.....

Started drinking in pubs at 14 cos they did not bother in them days! But at parties it was 7 PINTS OF BEER IN A WATNEYS RED BARREL.By the time you had opened it 4 pints would be splattered round the LIVING ROOM.So no parties at my MUMS then.Round to your place again! :D

 Mad dog 20/20 brings back loadsa crazy memories...this stuff was evil when mixed with strawberry acid tabs:lol: also around that era (15 / 16yrs old) another favourite was a large bottle of Lambrusco drunk through 2 or 3 straws joined together! next stage was Tennants Super....the less said of that the better:nonono: Onwards and upwards to my uncly John's favourite (and Barney's) Pernod Shandy (but not a lot of shandy) that phase didn't last very long - because it tasted so fuckin nice - you'd end up drinking gallons of the stuff, and it wasn't till you hit the fresh air outside the nightclub, that you'd keel over and fall asleep in a fucking phone box (still proud of that one to this day, but at the same time, haven't forgiven Malky for leaving me there:lol: ) Then came the craze of white russians and vodka chasers, don't ask why...we were young and stupid! Aye, Thunderbird was a popular one with us one too - mingin'.

This thread is touching a raw nerve this morning as I am rather hungover....went drinking and a boogying with Liv and the Trumpette last night. Didn't get in until 3:30am and had to be up again at 7:00 :nonono: Needless to say I slept in but still managed to get to work on time, even managing to get a bacon sarnie on the way in

Yeah, Thunderbird. Dontcha just love drinks like this: designed, brewed and marketed directly at the pre-legal drinkers niche. Kind of dissaprove in my late-twenties very-adult-now kind of way, but God, it made my teen years a lot more interesting. Thunderbird also got me laid for the first time, so it must have extra special powers or summat.....
