Bass bargain - 2 hours left.

Think I prefer it in blue to Hooky's red one.

Although, all my basses for the last 15 years have been au naturel, the Aria (now fretless) was simply stripped and sanded and sealed with car wax, the Bass Collection is factory finished in natural wood, and my old westone/marlin hybrid (also fretless now, and out in the wild, it's a well travelled bass, and even though it's a piece of shite, or rather two pieces of shite joined at the neck, each time it is sold on, it goes for a higher price....I sold it for £60, and the last movement I head about involved £250! it's played on more released records than I have too :( ), was burned bare, then (after it's first sale), ruined and painted piss yellow.

Basically I don't like painted basses (and BTW......anyone thinking of stripping a bass....be very careful, some of them are not painted, but have 1/4" of epoxy baked onto them, and are all but unstripable...my westone was like that, and stripping left it so ugly and fucked up, that's when I mated it with the Marlin).

I was a little tempted, but yeah, that color.

I used to own an '80s Yamaha BB series fretless, beautiful pearlescent white, just a lovely instrument all around. My buddy the guitar purist used to rag on me for playing a Yamaha, but damn, it felt and sounded great. And this was either before or after they got a little crazy with the cutaway shapes.

I miss that bass...
