What's a good one to use? I downloaded VLC, but it's constantly getting 'stuck'. Any other suggestions?

The disc itself could be the problem. The various tools offered by AVS have caused me relatively little pain on the rare ocassions when I must work with video in windows.
You can download a windows verion of mplayer and mencoder, which will work perfectly, but there's a spot of typing involved.
VLC is based on the same, linux built, engine, so it SHOULD work really.
