Anyone else seen this yet? Caught it at the pictures the other night and seemed a surprisingly good romp. A sort of blockbuster with a slight twist and not predictably all set in New York or Los Angeles with a heroic steely jawed all-American hero saving the day. In places it was pretty desperate and bleak as is the subject matter (detention camps) especially in Sarf Africa. Lost the plot a bit towards the end but still the best CGI infested "film" I've seen in quite some time.

Predictably  the Guardian has published an article on the film's racist connotations.

Apologies to Fradders and Popey for this... waaaay too mainstream :p

Nah, I really liked it - especially the way the Sarf Afrikaaners sound just like scousers whenever they say "fuck" (which they do a lot in this movie!).

I liked the fact that there was no hero, in fact, nobody even mildly likable, in the entire thing.
