So I'm watching Wheeler Dealer (with Mike Brewer and Edd China) and their restoration project is a C4 Corvette. They have the nerve to disparage American electrical systems!

And the home of the inventor of the electric light bulb (Que the Eddison/Swan argument!)
Love the program though, watch it all the time, that and all the beetle/camper van programs too.
Not surprising as they seem to love European vehicles... of which I'm not as impressed with as the average populace.

Given that it's an English program and our relutance to drive anything left hand drive, it's not surprising that the vast majority of cars are "European" plus American taste and European taste are very different (not saying which is better, that's a pointless argument based entirely on personal preference).
I have no idea about electrical systems on american cars, car looms are a scarey thing! it's probably just that they are different and rare which makes them say they're wierd, I do love it on custom my ride when they put the nice tidy colour coded looms in though, they look very nice, but I have OCD and I'm a complete nerd when it comes to wires!
