Pete Yorn's Life On A Chain (Hooky's 2011 Mix)

The remastered edition of Pete Yorn's Music For The Morning After (er Musicforthemorningafter) went up on iTunes the other day. I noticed the last song is called Life On A Chain (Hooky's 2011 Mix). I wondered if Hooky had been asked to remix this but after a quick look, I found the following on a blog site:

...the CD includes..."'Life On A Chain (Hooky's Mix),' a previously unreleased mix by Brad Wood (another musicforthemorningafter album producer) made especially for this 10th Anniversary Edition.'

Have to say this track sounds pretty much like you would think the track would sound like if NO remixed it, as bizarre as that would be. Personally, I like it. According to Wikipedia, Brad Wood has produced quite a number of artists and he must be a NO fan.

Yes- I am a huge NO fan! I was specifically trying to pay homage to NO's early 80's remixes- especially the Arthur Baker era- and the "Hooky's Mix" reference is deliberate. The bass solo PY plays on that track is heavily influenced by Hook. Thanks for mentioning the remix and take care.
