I just got the Criterion Collection for Solaris tonight. I have been waiting for this for such a long time. I can't wait for the new transfer and extra material on this DVD. I'm very reluctant to see the "American" version of this movie. I like Soderbergh, but I am really skeptical about the spin James Cameron puts on this. Has anyone seen it yet? What do you think? I really don't like George Clooney in any role, so does he do it somewhat justice? I'll try to be open-minded. Let me know. Thanks.
To follow up, The Mirror, Andrei Rublev and The Sacrifice are some of the best movies I've ever watched, without measure. Compare those to this, please.
