BAR (British/American Racing) Team have a British driver Jenson Button, who's crap and has already crashed out, and his best pal (a Canadian) called Jacques who is currently 11th or 12th.

I think there is such a ritual here in the States, judging by the fact that half the cars in the race today (no fucking clue what it's called, surely something like "The Wal-Mart 500", etc) are already out due to a massive wreak in the 4th lap.
Barichello has retired, looks like I've put the jinx on him

And I think Fisichella wins the race after the red flag to end the race early. Well done to the Jordan team if they have, if not I think it goes to Coulthard.....so it could be another win for the Scot, it's all very confusing

That was the most chaotic GP I ever saw. Rain, accidents, safety car on track, spins, crashes, red flags, the third place not able to go the podium...

tell me just one thing. it was unnecessary giving raikkonen the victory over fisichella. what harm does fisichella do winning this race? he won´t win another one with that car, he won´t be competing head-to-head for championship, he was in the first place, and MAYBE he crossed the line before the red flag came out. so why don´t the authorities evaluate things as they should for once? give the race to fisichella. he was the moral winner after all. i said!

These are the rules mate! Remember Ayrton Senna and his Toleman at Monaco GP in 1984? Nobody gave him the victory and there is no point in giving the victory to Fisichella now.
Alonso still finishes third despite that massive shunt. He's ok by the way. And Webber still finishes in the points despite his crash. Fucked or what?

For some reason, this excitement used to happen only here, in Montreal... or Spa-Francorchamps, but there is no GP in Beligum this year.. :smoke:
I remember one year when Damon Hill, Jacques Villeneuve and Michael Schumacher all smashed in the same wall.. 3 world champions.. was funny to see :D

Well, Fisichella had one stop left, Raikonen was the real leader of this race, so if the red flag wasn't there, Raikonen was going for the win anyways.
Only Coulthard got screwed in this process
And yes, Jacques finished in the points , what a pity.. I hope he gets a good car next season, to show everyone he's still the best!

HE deserved it. rules or not rules....

If I remember correctly, the race was stopped (by Jacky Iccx, serving that year as race director) when Senna was fast approaching a struggling Prost... but he didn't overcame him (he would, in fact, but only if the race had just one or two more laps)!

That's what I recall too. 
Alonso again in the podium...incredible. More points in three races than the other spanish drivers of all time

please, nic. with all the respect.... jacques could win a million races and one hundred championships and STILL won´t come even near his father. he was my idol when i was a little kid. i remember watching every race of him. even though reutemann was argentine, and even though he was fighting for the championship my heart always was with gilles. you know, you cheer for your countryman but when someone is so good that may become an idol even not winning any championship at all, you just have to let yourself go. and i cried a lot when he died. i was watching that on live TV... and he wasn´t better than his son only because he died. but because he was great, unique, the king without a crown!

Almanso, I'm with you on this one! I'm not ashamed to tell everyone that I cried like a baby the day Gilles died. Jacques is nowhere near as good as his dad was. And as a person... please!

Raikkonen may lose Brazil win
The result of Sunday's Brazilian Formula One Grand Prix is being reviewed because of a timekeeping discrepancy. The FIA said in a statement that it had received evidence that Jordan driver Giancarlo Fisichella had led for one lap more than previously believed and could be declared the winner instead of McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen.
The Finn was behind Fisichella when the race was stopped but had been declared the winner on F1's count-back rule - which dictates that the result is declared two laps before the lap on which the race was stopped.
But the FIA says there is now doubt about how many laps Fisichella had completed when the race was stopped because of an accident involving Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber.
The FIA says that Fisichella may have completed one more lap than was thought - which would make him the winner. The statement said: "The FIA has received evidence which suggests that, contrary to information supllied by the time-keepers at the Brazilian Grand Prix, Fisichella had started his 56th lap before the race was stopped.
"If this proves to be the case, the race classification would be that at the end of the 54th lap and not at the end of the 53rd lap as published."
The FIA has summoned its Brazilian GP officials to a meeting at its Paris headquarters on Friday to review the race.
Jordan said it also had evidence that Fisichella should have won.
"Jordan Grand Prix have received the FIA statement concerning the result of the Brazilian Grand Prix which concurs with the team's evidence," a Jordan statement said.
"The team awaits the outcome of the stewards meeting on Friday."
A spokesman for Raikkonen's team McLaren remained open minded.
"If the timekeepers are proven to have made a mistake then any subsequent adjustments of the race results would be understandable," he said.

there IS a God, after all!
It would only be right that Fissico is awarded the victory. Would be fitting for Jordan becuase it was their 200th grand prix.

nooo! i've got raikkonen on my fantasy F1 team and he's doing wonders for me at the moment, racking up the points. but you'd think what with all the technology and money pumped into F1 they would have figured all this mess out before they headed to the podium.
and as for jacques villeneuve...he's one of the reasons i started watching F1, as well. but for really superficial reasons. probably the same reason dannii minogue started watching it. 
wonder when schumacher the elder will start stepping on the gas pedal.
