Yes, I watched it last night. I thought it was brilliant. All of it apart from Lene Lovich. That was the 1979 show, wasn't it? I'm annoyed I missed the 1978 show in case I missed something good - did I? I didn't get into The Old Grey Whistle Test as a kid because I honestly thought it was a sheepdog trials programme like One Man And His Dog! I only worked out my error when they dropped the Old Grey bit and I can remember them showing The Perfect Kiss video in 1985. I miss The Tube more, though. I wish they'd repeat them all now I've got a VCR. Why they stopped it I'll never know, they got the formula so right. Music coverage is so terrible on tv now.

Went to see Madness, couple of weeks back with Mickey Way & Tania, at the Royal Albert Hall.
Good gig until Baggy Trousers ended, the band stopped playing but the music carried on coming out of the speakers for another 30 secs. Oh dear.
But then again, they are more of a cabaret act these days than a true live act.
thought this thread was gonna be about the abiliuty to whistle! tony wilson can't whistle you know.
