What do you think of them ? Do you like their music ? Do you think they are really lesbian or use this to promote their careers ?

I find them very beautiful and atractive :sex:

Image you guys with 2 beautiful ladies on bed

As much as i hate to say it, all the things she said was a great tune, and not gonna get us was good as well. Not bought the album, am scared to think what they might have done to how soon is now?

They covered The Smiths ? I didn´t know about that.

What´s the name of their album ?

Mmm...Tatu.

I think their album's called 60 Miles An Hour, or something like that. ;)

Trevor Horn + Seal = Great Single Trevor Horn + Tatu = Great Single

I really like the video as well; though I think the whole "teen lesbian" thing is wasted effort on behalf of the marketing department. Shocking? Uh, I guess.

This is great:

Morissey Calls t.A.T.u.'s Version of 'How Soon Is Now?' "Magnificent"

Morissey, former singer of The Smiths, who originally wrote and performed the song "How Soon Is Now?" in 1984 had this to say about t.A.T.u. in the U.K.'s Word Magazine:

Word: Did you hear t.A.T.u.'s version of "How Soon Is Now?"

Morissey: Yes, it was magnificent. Absolutely. Again, I don't know much about them.

Word: They are teenage Russian lesbians.

Morissey: Well, aren't we all?

From what I've heard, they are pretty good. They have a unique sound (which is rare lately.. {ex: Creed, Nickelback & Theory Of A Dead Man}). I hope they succeed personally. :)

Well, I heard the RUSSIAN Yo Sushla S Uma (All The Things She Said) back at the beginning of the year, or maybe earlier, because N21 posted a link about it on the french forum, saw the videos, never really tried to listen to the song.

When I heard the english version, let's say that this is one little dance tune that hook up on me.. it's gone now, but I admit it :embarassed:

As for the lesbian thing.. it's another attempt to do what Samantha Fox did in the 80's, and it works ;)

Go figure why boys are attracked to good looking lesbians

Trevor Horn still has it!

I've just downloaded their album. Really good :thumb:

that cover of "How Soon is Now" was sent to me by a friend some time back and i must admit i was laughing quite hard. pretty weak. they just can't capture the guitar, but isn't that to be expected? all in all, their other stuff is fairly mediocre and does nothing for me (even the lesbian angle).

Never heard of them, never want to hear of them.

Cool. Let's celebrate a lesbian way of future.

Are tatu on top of that truck, or are they in the cab driving the big rig? That'd be cool.

Speaking as a Russian lesbian rock duo myself, I think they're just hyping the whole same-sex angle for attention. I couldn't give two fucks about their music, personally, but I have nothing against them if they succeed in having long careers (you know, like two weeks or so) :D

well, i heard of these girls like a year ago and started to look around on the internet as i got fascinated with their story (two lesbian teens from russia....). i thought "well, that will be the next music industry´s shock!" so i downloaded their songs in russian. i must say i was cautivated by their voices and that "cold" feeling that the russian language has. although i liked only 3 or 4 songs. ATTSSaid, NGGUs and 30 minut (the best of them all in my opinion, next single in english?). how soon is now is just shite. i also was very interested in all the marketing around them, the videos they made (one of them with one of the girls cheating on the other with a boy, so the cheated one puts a bomb on the other´s bag and activates it when she meets the boy. BOOM! classy ;) ). but i thought they would have more impact than they had. it seems our societies already lost their amazement capacity...

Why, oh why, did I have to miss that?

But seriously, they are hot, but one thing I've never quite been able to figure out is why musicians are supposed to be sexually attractive. I mean, there must be some musical genius somewhere who never got anywhere because he/she is a total slob. What does the sexual attractiveness of the artist have to do with anything when the music is what should count? A piece of music should be able to stand or fall on its own, without 100 or so girls prancing around in their skivvies to prop it up.

In conclusion, The music is the only thing that should matter, but then again, you know what men think with; 100 prancing girls in their skivvies = :jump:

wow, thank you. i try to be as much open minded as i can. in terms of music i try to listen to it all. then my taste tells me if i like it or not and my theorical musical knowledge (as i´m a musician) shows me if something´s good or bad even if i don´t like it. for example i don´t like king crimson though i think they´re excellent musicians and their music is well made. same with frank zappa or david bowie or pink floyd. i used to say things like "i don´t like it so it´s bad". then i understood taste has nothing to do with something being good or bad. specially in art. new order´s music is a lot less complex than king crimson´s. but i like what they do, they touch my soul. and king crimson doesn´t. simple as that. but i´d be stupid if i say that their music is bad. why? because i don´t get it or like it? things aren´t black or white, there´re a lot of grays! ;) and i try to do that in all aspects of life. i try to understand things before making comments. i like sharing opinions but i just hate people who scream out unquestionable statements of things they don´t know deeply. yeah, i try to keep my mind open. but i´m not a saint or a genius. i´m learning every day! :thumb:

Well yes, but that isn't what I was thinking of. Morrissey asked "How Soon Is Now?" - Barney's reply was "Sooner Than You Think". Fact.

All I can say is that I have downloaded their album a few days ago and I liked it A LOT! I liked "Not Gonna Get Us" even better than "All The Things..." and just couldn't stop to listen to their tracks. They probably have good producers and songwriters behind them, but the vocals are sensual and kind of provocative (sometimes). Their music is pure and good pop, a lot better than most of "young girls that sing" we have worldwide - and they are around 18 years old...

I think I'd still like a sandwich.

It's Trevor Horn... who is behind the Pet Shop Boys

(And I didn't mean anything by saying that!)

Trevor was not involved in ther production of their original album (russian) as far as I know, although he produced the English version (and he has helped with the lyrics, too).

Personally, I prefer the graphics on his t.a.T.u. thread...

There are musical genius too that just.. can't sing!

This is why some people stick to songwritting.. and people like David Foster and Dionne Warren get rich!

Sheesh, Célion Dion isn't really good looking and she's considered as the "biggest singer in the world" right now.. I admit she got a better stylist than when she was 14 over here, but still... :D

Anyone with a stylist can look good! And you can be ugly and do Hard Rock & Metal stuff
