captain paranoid asks about Berlin 2001 gig

Um, just wondering if those of you who have a recording of or who heard the original broadcast can settle something.

I was just wondering if the small cuts and edits in the inter-song chat between tracks that occur at some of the track transitions in my cdr recording were in the original broadcast. I only ask because captain paranoia reminds me that this could be explained by the tracks being mp3 sourced. I mean it sounds OK, I think, but its hard to say when you don't know what the original sounded like. I haven't heard much mp3 sourced stuff so I find myself wondering.

(mp3s are a pain, its getting so you can't even trust bootleggers. If you can't trust the dodgy geezer you met down the pub at the market or on the web, who can you trust?)

Someone must be able to settle this surely? Funny little gaps between tracks (and blue monday ending very abruptly) are a symptom of mp3 sourced stuff (having made a couple myself, not for trade).

Or was it just someone turning a DAT on and off when recording it (trying to save tape?).

I wanna know so I can trade it on in good conscience.

...hmmm, wondering if anyone actually _listens_ to bootlegs or if they only trade them?

Anyway, checked it in a .wav editor, convinced myself its not mp3-sourced,just clumsily edited. So can trade it in good conscience now.

very clumsy editing I listened to it on the internet and copied it myself so I know it wasn't bad although the mixing desk guy must have been tone deaf as the producing is trully appaling at the start but it got better!!

my brother went and he said it was a great gig!
