Ok, well I guess the new forums are back.
I just wanted to make sure there was some kind thread for the NYC show.
So far, from my estimations, my best educated guess right now, with no official confirmation, is that the show will most likely be at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan. That venue is one of the best in the city for a place of it's size, general admission and balcony seating, holds maybe 4,000 people and has an awesome sound system.
Defintely better than Roseland, which sucks because of sound and mostly because they start the shows late to sell drinks then tell the bands they have to be off stage by 10:30pm because they don't want to pay overtime to their "clean up" and security, and it does take a while to get that many people out the door.
There is a slight possiblity that the New Order show might be at Jones Beach Theater in Long Island, about 1 hour away from Manhattan. They just have started announcing shows for this outdoor venue by the side of the sea, but let us all hope that it isn't there! that place with New Order will not go well at all.. Well, I guess we will see in the next coming days..
Never saw N.O. so I am pretty damn excited, but I hope Barney losses the auto-cue and stops the damn whistling!
