With it being the Reading festival this weekend ive found meself reminiscing about New Orders last appearance there in 98. went with my bro and a mate and had a fantastic time down in the mosh. It was awesome to sse them for the first time since 93.

Later on we retired back to my car to get some kip at the end of the night.But about two hours later we woke up next to that big pile of hay that was on fire.Scrambled out of the car as the police and fire brigade evacuated the area.Ended up wandering around freezing til 6 in the morning which was when everyone was allowed back to their cars. Did any other NOOLERS have to escape the inferno?

we were in our tent drinking and heard the fireworks that caused it.totally zonked out until about 5 a.m.i woke up,went to car for some cigs.was half drunk and walked past several firemen,engines etc,there and back without taking any fookin notice bit like shaun of the dead

I've never camped out at a festival, I always go with John & Lorraine on the day of the festival that neworder are playing - then head back straight after it.

93 was good, 98 was even better. I remember being with John & Lorraine down the front - then I found masel way back after Regret, it was mayhem, I was also on some lads shoulders during Isolation and stood dead still shaking ma head when WIFM started :lol:

Me and 3 mates were sleeping in cramped up little VW Polo and I woke up wondering if i was dreaming or not seeing a heavenly light eminating through the torrents of condensation. Wound down window and said to the lads i think we had better keep an eye on that bonfire. We were close enough to keep warm but far enough away to escape the fire balls should the farmer's gas cylinder nearby had got caught up in the flames. Monaco, New Order and Keith Flint...what a day!
