find the bootleg listen to the bootleg
At best it's 25years of post production and redubbing everything barney says, not to mention Hooky singing SLC in a monty python silly voice.
At worst Warners burned it and pretended it never existed.
If you ask me that is.
It wasn't Hooky singing.... it was Bernard.
Plus, we'd love to have this unedited, raw, the way a New Order gig should be.
Are you sure, I mean I know barney sings that song, but I'd swear the voice singing it in the style of "Anne Elk" (the one who had the theory about the brontosaurus), is hooky.
I love that gig, there's such a vibe of.... "go out there and try to act like a pop band FFS, we've got cameras here"
DOH! red flags to bulls.
I dunno what;s funnier, the silly voices, the abuse of the newyorkers, or the "Ian Curtis sketch". I do know what the highligh of the gig is though....the audible gasp that is let out when Hooky's bass kicks in on Krafty.
5:11 is post-produced and fixed rather a lot and I think that sucks balls to be honest. The most blatant example is the whacking great bum note from Hooky on the bootleg, but it's corrected and pushed back in the mix to hide the wrinkles on the dvd.
