Quelle dommage..... as usual, I look like a sack of shit in that picture there. So unflattering..... my face looks even greasier than fucking Graham Norton's.

Better put up a few of my Saint Etienne aftershow ones in a desperate attempt to redress the balance, I guess.....

That's yer 2000th post Marty :D
Welcome back to the madhouse, hope yer gonna keep us entertained
Correction: it's actually my 2002nd. I posted my 2001st a week after that Fromage Tribute gig @ the Roadhouse back in 2002 - but it was so secretive no one noticed apart from Nic and Tim. ;)
Since then I have completely mislaid all my passwords and email addys for that old account but that's no skin off my nose.
I'm only dropping by anyway to briefly say hi to all those folks I met up with the other day and how unexpected it was to happen across you all at the JB (one of my regular [half-dozen] haunts of the all-too-distant-partying-days-of-yore along with the Lass O' Gowrie, the Salutation, the City Road Inn, the Briton's Protection and the Peveril Of The Peak. - this guy has got taste you know!) as I genuinely did not realise that the New Order bash was that night - thought it was the middle of the week - and I was only in the Josh to see if I could get myself some lunch as I felt the Lo'G was too funereal and bereft of any atmosphere....but then of course when Martin Fradley spotted me and I was equally surprised to see him (blame that damned flag!) I completely forgot about my hunger and ended up spending the rest of the afternoon there nattering to every other person I was vaguely aware of who would soon materialise later on....not to mention get gassed to death by more passive smoking than I could have imagined for years.
So, it was really great to see a few of you nutters again -the old guard of Timbo, Big Al, Mark (Johnny G), Fradders, Hibster, the Rockster, your ever ebullient self, everyone's favourite Brazilian Ricardo, and also to meet a few other regulars whom I'd never previously spoken to at length like Chris Nash and his fine lady Trish (it was a privilege to have a long chat with both of you that evening!), Lucy, Chris Brogan (who I previously met from the BSP fraternity), Barney Army, Steve from Belfast and a few others.
I actually emailed a few of yous a few days ago (Shug, Timbo, Chris N, Rockster, Johnny G, Fradders, Chris B) but I'm not sure if those email addresses as taken from your profiles still exist. If any of you guys see this post, let me know if you got my messages okay! I'd be most grateful if you could beep us back in return!
Oh - and Tim needs to get back to me with his verdict on my Aggrokulture compilation CD - that is, if the experience hasn't left him completely deaf, traumatised and unable to ever listen to another White Stripes song for the rest of his life.....
Until next time - cheers! :)
