Christ I'm NOT the only person who's really into this idea then (I got a LOT of catch-up pint buying to do).

I actually voted Mankfester. Now that we know our dear lady of the East can get flights there from Belgrade, and so can most of the other overseas ones (and me). the rest of you can just jump on a train. It would be nice to do it in the City that made it all happen, and it MIGHT work out a bit cheaper than old Londinium.

take NornIron off t'fuck, you wouldn;t dig this backward little place. Mind you the travel would be easy for me. Besides I don't want to have to hear about how baps up it all went for the rest of my days.

the question of proximity or otherwise to a NO gig is something else. The original idea of keepin those four far away, is all well and good excellent actually), but what about those who have a long way to come? it does seem a shame for them JUST to come that far for a pissup (I'm their regardless, it's a prty aint it). An IDEAL situation.... New Order kindly announce their summer plans in about January, and play a gig on a Sunday or a Monday in our finally decided location in high summer. We can then do a NOOL weekender, and stick around for the gig. OR at least we could a single NOOL day the day before a gig, then on gig day revert to standard procedure, albeit much better acquainted (shit we may all know each other's real names AND be able to tie them to usernames) on gig day itself.

Oh and you can put my 2nd vote down for Chorley (welcome to the NI electoral system, why I don't vote). Half cos it's a proper place in every sense and half cos of "Chorley don't surf", which made me laugh so hard it hurt. I can't even remember who's line it was now (I'm sure the author will leap in)

The 1st option is the best option.

that's ok for youfucks from south of Hadrian's wall, the rest of us will have to stay inside all day with boiler suits and balaclavas on (improves my looks no end I admit). Besides, can you IMAGINE the casualties if this turned into "NOOL 2 weeks on the costa-del-lout". A cultural weekend in Paris mayhaps. EDIT: WTF am I saying....Mainland Europe=Amsterdam. Any questions?

LOL@NObabe....you and me both instantly dismissed our own countries. LOL. Odd both spots have a history for people being wankers to one another for not a lot of reson other than that their fathers and their fathers were nasty to each other as well :)

I was counting on your vote for Bangor mate.

I'll ask my mate about Jabez Clegg tomorrow in case Manchester wins.

Tim, I presume you mean the upstairs bit? that would be a good venue for music & beer if it comes off.

How very true! Steve looks like I'm up for Manc Aid instead, not sure yet though, will keep you informed.

Brum or Manc for me. I think that Manc just edges it as I'm closer to Cheshire than the rest of the Midlands.

I was going to suggest Stoke and really go to town on how fantastic our road/rail/air links are.

Then I realised that they are completely and utterly non-existent

Yep. If you can get this it'd be a major coup. Probably Easter BH Monday makes best sense, gives us time to sort the logistics then and get some fookin' ticket sales done!

Well i can see this is in good hands. call me when it's time to do the wires and flashy LED's thing :)

Actually a nice thing about manc is, even with no NO in sight, we can still do a "star tour" round famous spots that are now carparks and flats, might make it more attractive for the far away Order.

WTF is it with some of you citizens of old Londinium, you're like one step up the evolutionary ladder from yanks when it comes to stay-at-home syndrome. It's like all the maps of Britain in London show a beautifully detail landscape inside the M25, and just "here be dragons" dawbed in dung outside it. train will get you to manchester in like 3 1/2 hours or thereabouts these days guys. And having been there, I can confirm they not only have electricity and running water but color television as well. I'm debating another merry fucking odessy through the wilds of nowhere (tho by easter if I aint sorted my passport out, I deserve to have to do the bus again), Maya's having a Bollxing conniption fit about whether she can do this flitting to and from belgrade all year thing without getting deported or bankrupted, and there's buggers 150miles down t'fuckin road who are like "what walk to the station? fack off. that'd mean going ahtside Landan woonit?" shame on you, you know who you are.

Oi! Have a word! In fact, have several words. Which fcuking website have you been posting on all these years?! The London Order are the only ones who make the effort to travel everywhere. And we're the only one's who've had our act together from the day dot. We don't need a NOOL day to go 'socialising', we're out and about all the time. Fcuking stay-at-home syndrome, even Mickey Way caught a 24hr train all the way to Barca cos he's too girly-scared to fly. And he still couldn't even be fuct to attend the gig once he got there, now that's 'ardcore!

We'll do any of you monkeys in a straight toe-to-toe. Bring it on. :evil4:

Yeah cos I meant you and the hardcore obviously, ya daft sod.

(sorry just done 3 hours heads to head inthe bitching thread, takes a while to unbitch) :D i noticed at least one twit saying they'd only go if it was in london. Actually my outburst was brought on more by the fact that you buggers DO go everywhere, kinda trying to shame your loser compatriots into action.

FUCK me....you in advertising? (actually I hope not, cos i'd have to dislike you then as a matter of respect to bill hicks)

there we have not only the NOOlday slogan "if you hold it they will come" (nice parody there) And surely the one that would have won them the olympics.

"Manchester, it may be fucking freezing, but I've never lost a rucksack there"

Sorry for embellishing, but the manc's are an honest lot.

As I've said before, Tricia and I are happy to travel just about anywhere (yes, from London...) and are also happy to help out with organisation/arrangements, etc.

We need to come up with a venue asap because otherwise there won't be time to arrange everything else! :thumb:

Advertising??? Moi??? Bwahahahahahah...

not a chance...obviously, the first line is borrowed/stolen from Field of Dreams...and the rucksack bit...well, let's just say, I've lost one in Trafalgar Square....at least, that's where I think I lost it...can't be sure, since I was PISSED at the time...

I vote for Scotland.. I've only been there a few times before and never to a gig, so it should be a good excuse for a jolly up north...

Voted LDN for convenience, but, having read the comments, Manc land might be better; we could always do other places on other days...

After thinking a bit more, it has to be Manc land for the inaugaral day.

It would appear Manchester is in the lead - but someone make a decision - IS IT?

Any word on a location for the Northern East Coast of America? NYC? Boston? Philly? Baltimore?:)

Wenorder is in Baltimore. Let's get one organized there.

By that logic, it should be held in Montreal?

Not that I would mind though...

London seems to be the most accesible place for those who don't live in the UK, and it's not bad for the british people either. Ok, and it's perfect for me, although i still live in the north.

Greetings form Lancashire,

EMZ

Is this poll being kept open till London finally gets in the lead?! :evil4:

I was thinking you fuckers can win it by sheer weight of numbers.....can we make sure this gets closed BEFORE London takes over. This business of London sneaking up from behind, it just shows all the REALLY enthusiastic people were in at the start and voting manc.

I've already got one arm in my coat and am on a course to the door.

I voted London too. Tee Hee! :p
