He's coming back! You going to go ed?
lesee I will make sure I got the cash and someone to go with...last time he was around I was flat busted not even enough for a drink!
1/12/06 is a Friday I think so I am off from ye olde record store that night-I will sure try!!
Maybe those dates are actually in February then?
Can someone confirm, I will do it obviously ;)
Have you confirmed the dates Spotnick? I looked at some of the websites, and they didn't mention Hooky. Thanks.
You can't keep a good man down !
Hmm, so when are they gonna concentrate on completing the next album. Doubt were gonna see anything new till the end of 2006 at the earliest and god knows when at the latest.
Great news if he comes to PDX, that's still quite a hike flying cross-country that night after the gig to Florida though.

Aren't we feeling a little pessimistic today? Personally I look forward to the following things in 2006
- The Smiths reforming
- Saddam and Dubya releasing a duet of Give Peace a Chance for charity, topping the Christmas chart
- New Order releasing a new album
Number 3 might be a stretch though
So who's up for Vegas? Cheapest time of the year to go. Scotia Travel do 5 nights at Ballys for £399 in Jan/Feb inc flights from Glasgow......

What kind of set does Peter put on? Is it all pretty impromptu? Brit Pop / Techno / Trance ?

o god please no,dont let the first one ever happen !! . it would spoil the legend that is THE SMITHS
Still no "official" word for Hooky on the 17th in Portland then? haven't come across anything here yet.
Cool... Hookey is coming back?! Is this his 2nd time to play DJ in the US? I wish I could make it to the show... ![]()
Trust me when I say if you have the chance you should go to the Hooky DJ show, (Thanks again Spotnick.)
I saw him in Austin, about 3 months ago. Got to meet and get an Autograph!!
Great show he played some JD stuff and some Killers stuff, and closed with Moby's remake of "Temptation" (too funny)
Thank you for your reply... I would love to meet Hooky once in my life... I would love to get his autograph...
Is it easy to meet him?
I would definately go to the shows in CA if I go back to CA from Japan by then... (Hooky played his DJ at Fuji Rock Festival'05 in Japan![]()

no, he has it all worked out ahead of time. or so it appears.
it's a combination of everything, really. blur, the chemical brothers, johnny cash, etc. and, of course, new order. last time i saw him he did about 1/2 hour of new order at the end.

o shit we left before the end at blackburn so i didnt hear new order.
heard a good mix of grace jones doing she's lost control ![]()
I definitely plan to go to the NYC set on 1/21. I DJ at a club on Long Island on Saturday nights, so I will have to find someone to cover for me that night.
I was so depressed when I missed their last show and Hooky's subsequent set, especially because I only found out about it the next day (too long away from the websites) and so I can't allow myself to miss this.
Hey Spotnick, any chance of getting me 2 freebie tickets to Hooky's show in Houston?
Just thought I would asked. ![]()
Hooky my man..no gigs in San Francisco? What did we do? We love you here man. This isn't Europe..it's a long hall to Costa Messa for the Detroit Bar gig...that's going to be great for those of you that can make it. I'll try...not looking too good. Anyways... I saw him DJ.. WITH Barney in Brighton,UK New Years o4/o5. They are both excellent. Dub, old school techno, new choice big club sounding techno, a little punk rock. Barney adds a tiny bit of classic disco. They were so cool. One of the top nights of me life!-J
PS-They spun a couple Joy Division and New Order tunes..including something I hadn't heard before.
