this IS the pre-match piss up, isn't it? the shorts may have to come out again for this one...

in fact, I might just buy a drink for anyone else suitably attired "c'mon shorts wearers - let's be 'avin you!"
Barney Army wrote: Pre match piss up?
will certainly be up for't pre-match mate.
4 of us had already thought about coming over manc by way of my birthday celebration :) so including re-order as well now.be down town at 5.30,probally go on to ashton around 9ish. HAVE IT ![]()
monty - what time can you get out ?
Barney Army wrote: I'd rather be seen is shorts than 'wearing' a Strat
people who remember the eighties call them 'real' instruments. [although seeing as it's a strat copy played by a fake band - I don't know if it qualifies for the moniker 'real'] in fact, your lack of familiarity with real instruments shouldn't preclude you from joining the band...

At the moment, i will spending the night before on the piss in altrincham, staying at my mates house. I see absolutely no point in trekking from alty to failsworth to come straight back out again.

This should be cracking. I had a great night last time I was at Sankeys ![]()
bearing in mind this new development... what's the consensus? we're a bit bewildered that this has happened again (hooky playing locally on the same night). on one hand, the witchwood could be a great warm up for the hacienda evening - on the other, people might decide to miss out a bus trip to ashton and go straight to the 'main event'. if this is to be the case then we should let the venue know to re:schedule because if we play it and everyone's at sankey's then the promoter won't have us back. I'm thinking that the timings of the two events mean we could work consecutively rather than concurrently together. any feelings on that one? any cunning plans? if anyone thinks this offers a conflict of interests rather than the perfect supplement let us know.... cheers
Well, i'm going to the warm up and not the main events, shall we say. Not paying £10 to watch some bloke spin records.

I'm too old to boogey with drug fuelled kids at Sankeys anyway. ![]()

Well I'll be at the Witchwood for sure - and so will anybody else who's got their right head on.

All depends what time you're on really, I guess, then what time Hooky's on.

If Hooky's is on quite a bit later, it would be fun to try and do the two!
Anybody getting a train here from Man? I'm planning all day session in Man then jumping on train.
Seeing as you are event co-ordinator Liam I'll be in touch nearer the date ![]()
Just one stop on the train from Victoria I seem to remember.
Uncle Liam wrote: What? Me? Event co-ordinator? thats worth at least 4 pints!
sort a venue for the meet up then, otherwise water for you big man.
Anywhere handy for Victoria train St best.
Shambles Square could be good, outdoor beers and handy for the big wheel ![]()
