I don't think the VIP thing is the issue, it's the all-seated thing that concerns me more. Seen enough gigs where that ain't a problem, but sounds like security might be a bit more clued up at this one. Hope not for most people's sake.

If you can afford to turn up for a Neworderdisco, Cambo, you can surely afford to be at this one.

Yeah all seating sounds a bit mental really. Can't say I'd mind in a funny sort of way, would have been handy at the Apollo when everything went wrong :D But at the same time, all seater venues are for andy fucking williams not NO.

As for affording, dude you have NO idea, by how tightly I flooked the cash to make this, it was all looking good, then went COMPLETELY tits up, and were it not for a bit of precipitous and not a little paranoid thinking on my part a coupla weeks ago, I'd be going fucking nowhere

Not sure I get you, if you've got the money for neworderdisco, you've got the money for Liverpool. Given the choice of either option, I know exactly where I'd rather be. No offence to Monty, but to see him spin a few tunes, or to see the real thing bang 'em out live, no competition.

Any idea on how to order VIP tickets? Been looking at the tickets for the other Summer Pops gigs but they don't seem to list VIP tickets.

Yes, they do. Take a look at ticketmaster.co.uk.

Limited to ten per person though. TEN! At those prices!

this weekend's bought and paid for, and it may well be the last brass I see in a while. I'm sure I'l have money by july (fuckin hope so anyway), it's a question of there still be the odd ticket to be found by the time things sort out. My projected income for the forseeable future, for reasons infinitely long and complex is....exactly fuck all, zero.

Already looked at flights to the pool and they're well cheap :D

I'm having second thoughts about this gig... the £170 VIP ticket is a bit much and even though I could go regular the added drag of being seated for the entire gig is, well, a bit shit isn't it?

I'm thinking I'll give this a miss and invest the cash in plane tix, hotel etc. for a Spanish jaunt instead. That way I can combine a few days in the sun with my first non-UK NO gig. I think I'll count myself out of Liverpool for the time being... if I can find a spare £200 I'll be up for it and the VIP perks do sound the best way to see them live; right down the front with a handy and well stocked bar nearby!

Ah well, the Spanish weather will be miles better! :smoking:

Ah cheers, I must've clicked something wrong when on the site. All sorted now finding prices. :D

Nah, no New Order tickets yet, but the VIP tickets for the other artists are pretty much similar prices around the £160 - £170 mark.

I'm gonna VIP it as well.

Cheers Christy :thumb: I'm currently investigating which spare (and rare) New Order CDs I have lying around that I might be able to flog off to fund Liverpool.

Does anyone know if this is going to be a swiftish sell out or will a reasonable amount of tickets linger?

Yup, the 21st (when I'm in The Gambia - must remember to wake up early and get those VIP tickets at 9am then go back to bed/beach)! :smoking:

NME, though, have reported that tickets went on sale on Good Friday... Hmmm....

I will be slumming it with the proper fans :shades: :karate:

Gold Circle for me then if possible.:thumb:

VIP?!! At almost two tonne?!!!! Fuck right off. I know what I'd be expecting for that cash and I don't think "Summer Pops" would provide it. I'm a gent that likes to avoid slumming it and to heck with the cost but I reckon this would be a total waste of cash.

I'll be there but will be well and truly "keeping it real" with the plebs in the cheap seats.

Changed my mind.Feck paying £40 for this seating shit.i'll wait til they announce a standing venue gig.

The best place IMO would be The Hanover in Hanover Street. Opposite a taxi rank, central location about two minutes from Lime Street and loads of fast food places. Boasts the longest bar in Liverpool.

This is all sounding familiar!! Cue fifteen different threads on where to meet up before and after the gig and then once the decision has been made, we realise we can't get in and we all have to ring each other to re-arrange at the last minute!
