Jarvo, Johnny Giles, Don and his Colombian girlfriend are confirmed so far. Barney Army can possibly go as well. Shug is still trying to win the lottery so he can travel.

Don't forget gang violence. Buses being torched... Police, banks and other civilian targets being attacked... You know, the usual stuff.

How much did it cost you?
Cost me 322 Reales (about $150 USD) for both nights.

Jesus!!!
Jarvo??? ![]()
My wife watched 511 video and asked : "How many gigs did this guy go?", I said: "Too many to remember!" ![]()
It will be an honour to receive those legends here in our hometown. ![]()

Yeah, fcuk it. Thought I'd give this a whirl. Have never been to Saarf America, and need something like this to give me a reason to go.
Not priced anything up as yet. Just waiting on one more gig to be announced first, I think. ![]()
Mrs Manic was asking what the weather would be like in Brazil in November ?
I guess that means if she can top up her tan before the orrible cold UK winter kicks in we could be Holdiaying in South America in Novemeber !!
Yep, unfortunately the only way I will make this is a lottery win. The Spanish trip and October gigs have wiped my funds clear!
If the big man upstairs is listening, I am not greedy, £5million would do nicely, I'd even settle for 5 numbers and the bonus ball ![]()

A girl after my own heart.. I've looked up Rio in my Lonely Planet Central & South America guide & November says 68 to 80 degrees with a bit of rain.. might be a bit humid too.. but hey.. better than the UK in November! Argentina looks much the same.

I don't know why you are surprised that Al is attending the Brazilian gigs. I would be surprised if he wasn't doing them.

It'd cost you half of that if you had a students card (which I do, being just a kid meself), trouble is you'd have to come buy it at the ticket booth, though I read somewhere half-price tickets should be available online too. Dunno, better check that one out... Anyway, if they're only sold at the venue, then they should sell out in the next few days, if they haven't yet.
Bollocks to the gig tickets, where's the cheap flights to Sao Paulo? I'll do them if I can get cheap airfare.

Yeah, SP and Rio are inevitably humid all year round and it should be fairly warm too - actually, hot in Rio, I'd say. But Rio's brilliant anyway, just make sure you stay near the shoreline, which is where most of the hotels are, or in Barra da Tijuca, though Barra's a million miles away from everything, a drag if yer not driving. Leblon, Botafogo, Copacabana and Ipanema are the best places, I suppose, in that order, given the proximity to the venue. Needless to say, if you like beaches, Copacabana and Ipanema speak for themselves. SP's a little duller, being a city and all, but the nightlife's fantastic and fairly cheap given exchange rates (USD 1 = R$ 2.20/ GBP 1 = R$ 4.50). Lodging near the venue in SP is a good idea since the area's pretty decent, full of hotels and bars in the vicinity (no need for driving or taking public transportation, which is not bad, but why bothering?).

You'll get them cheaper if you get them there. Surely the cheapest you get there won't be beaten by any airlines here... :\ohwell:

Ha ha. He's cracking. ![]()
5 min search shows all around £550 - £600 return to SP.
Should be able to get an open jaw ticket, into SP and home from BA for not much more. Then it's just a case of a few local flights.

Wow, that's good. My home airport is Atlanta and best I've found so far to SP and back from BA was a about $1000.
Flight from Rio to BA will be around $350. I'll probably just take the bus from SP to Rio since it's not that far... unless someone offers to give me a lift. :) I'll even help pay for gas.
I'm holding off on buying plane tickets for the next couple days or so just in case they announce anymore dates on the continent like Santiago or Caracas.
EDIT: Nevermind it looks like Jarvo just posted the final info.
Flippin 'eck.
All you mad bastards going from UK to Brazil to see NO. That's dedication
No point me even thinking about goin to any of these :(
Well done for NO to getting down to South America, seems like there's a steady fanbase down them parts ![]()
Been on the phone to Trailfinders this afternoon and they priced everything up at £960.
That includes all internal flights, return to London from Buenos Aires and tax, of course!.
Be keen to learn if anyone can get the whole thing done cheaper, without having to comprimise significantly by taking flights at ungodly hours.
E.g. Air France: depart Heathrow at 6.40am, change at Paris and Sao Paolo, hang around at both airports for a while, before arriving at Belo Horixonte at 23.40. So including check-in time etc, that's almost 24 hours door-to-door ![]()
Fcuk that.

The most I've done is 17 hours door to door and that was evil.. I don't advise it, if it can be avoided...

Last year I flew to Hong Kong with a layover in Seoul. From home to hotel was about 24 hours... with a 12 hour time difference.
It's crazy what jet lag will do to you. By the time I got there I'd lost all perception of what time or day it was. Thankfully I had a couple of days to recover.
:shy: hi guys, tottally touched by your devotion to NO can't help myself to invite those ones who'd prefer to come straight to BA for november, weather is great by that time a year and best of all you'll get to be in creamfields BA if u make it for sat 11/11.that's if u don't have better plans!!!!underworld is first comfirmed at the line up, and you'll have a week to know beautifull BA and get some girl to bring the gig....and take my advice, río and sp are truly insecure cities, be carefull!!! see u round
Im in Belo Horizonte, so if anybody abroad needs any info about the city, hotels and so, just ask me. Cheers, Marco
YESSS !!! NO IN ARGENTINA !!! FINALLY !!! It's a fine oportunity to see the band in both countries (AR & BR). I'll look foward to trip to Sao Paulo.
