Plays in my home town probably for the first and last time ever and i'm on fookin holiday. Oh well. Tickets are £12.

Went to this last night.....only one word for it... FANTASTIC !!

What a man, started off with Hacienda stuff etc,awesome mix of 'Lost Control' mixed with Grace Jones I think ? Towards the end it started to get a bit heavier, Monaco,NO, onto the Killers,SexPistols,Clash etc, and he never stopped for nearly 2 hours and the crowd loved it. Walking out of the venue,who popped up behind us...the man himself saying 'it took you two fuckers awhile to get into it' :) Had a brief chat,photo,Freebass doing the theme tune for a radio show called 'The Tube' (?) brief chat about the stranglers, said he might see JJ at Bournemouth maybe. Signed a flyer for me and my mate and still waiting for confirmation for something else that was mentioned. Have always put Hooky on par with JJ, but after watching him Dj......he's something else.Shame I can't make the aftershow DJ at Newcastle, but gonna keep a lookout for future gigs,book a hotel so I can have a drink and a dance.

Well worth the 150 mile round trip........and missing seeing The Stranglers at SBE
