I'm waiting for Adam to post his suggestion, seen as he was born and bred there he should have some decent ideas.

At least it will be reasonably civilised on a Monday.

With us lot there

I'd suggest a few strip joints on the beach front, but they are fucking expensive if memory serves

Whoever suggests a pub, just make sure it's quite a big one :thumb:

Is that dodgy 'The Manchester' pub still there?

We sometimes frequented a little pub called The Mitre just off the from the front.Chilled little place

Oh and an Edwards bar on the front was another one.

Yea think the Manchester pub still there... seems the ironic choice... LOL :D

Anywhere so long as it's not the fooking FLYING HANDBAG!!

I quite like the MANCHESTER,nice big pub for a gathering of the bretheren, there's also a WALKABOUT off the main street near the Metropole hotel, where the tram track goes into the main road.Or the FOXHALL,between North & Central Piers, near the Manchester.Or the GAIETY....:thumb:

Ill be in the Blue Room about a hundred yards from the Winter Gardens, you lot can do what you like. If I have to be back home on a Monday night in October I dont want to compound the misery by ending up in Yates` or Brannigans or any of the freakshow pubs on the front. yours, class traitor and honourary southerner

Can anyone advise me is it usually possible to get a train back to Manchester after events at Blackpool tower thank you

btw I think it sucks the way this website is advertising beyond face value ticket agencies - see £65 for Keane on the front page

there's a heavily New Order themed section of the illuminations this year, about 200 yards of it.

£40 to whoever spots it.

Outside the 'Manchester' pub I think too.

Yer have to take over the 'Manchester'.

No Manc/Scouse/Geordie stag nights in town so maybe us gayboy NewOrder can take the town....

will be out early on monday.talbot square in the north is usually a good starting point but a walk up to the manchester would be very apt and is easy for people to find

Never been to the 'Manchester', never been out in Blackpool to be honest, but going there just to check it out coz its 'infamous'.

Hopefully a peaceful booze, not like the stories of manc/scouse/geordie/scotch warfare that prevails during 'shit stag do' season

Show of hands for the Manchester then?

The Manchester pub is just over a mile from the venue, don't fancy that when you realise through a drunken haze that they are on stage in 15 mins!

Adam's suggestion of the Blue Room, 100 yards from the venue sound much better at least for evening drinks if not for the afternoon.

Will be up there from tomorrow, so somebody text me and let me know please.

What about the pub thats actually next to the venue, inside the winter gardens? I was in there when mozzer played same venue, about two years ago. Cracking pub.

At this jncture let me pour in some praise for GoogleEarth and GoogleMaps, in combination they make plotting gig strategy a lot easier. Then again, Blackpool kinda flat with the sea at one en, not the hardest navigation challenge.

(says the twat who aint going)

/me sits down and waits for **NAME**DELETED** to ask "wot, are you not doing blackpool?" for the 14trillionth time

Blue Room sounds a good option. The Manchester bar staff always used to try and rip you off with the change and it is a trek form the venue ,aye. We'll be arriving in Blackpool by car about 2.30 pm and will drive around blasting New Order out from the stereo whilst we try to find our B&B.Should be in the pub for 3.30 i reckon

Anyone driving to Blackpool from the south should be aware that there's been a major accident on the northbound M6 and the motorway has been closed between junctions 18-19.

Like us, you'll have to start looking for an alternative route.

I'm getting the train.

Unless our MD is prepared to fly me there in his private helicopter.
