All the bands play Plan K the night before - was discussing this with Smedders and JG yesterday cos the Plan K date appeared to be the only one confirmed. There's another gig in Cologne too, I think?
Will certainly do Plan K and will probably do Amsterdamage, holidays etc permitting. Personally think all the bands are quite shite. But it's Factory, innit? And an away weekender (I can already taste the beer and chocolate in Belgique)
Will swerve Cologne though cos it's Re-order's Festive Fiftieth the Friday night.
Er, Smedders has just pointed out that "status afgelast" means cancelled, no?
Belgium it is then!
Melkweg is the best venue in the galaxy, went to the GONG 3dayer last Novemeber.
On another point IS Factory still going then ?

"I can give some answers. I had this idea of Factory Night last year when I promoted the Section 25 gig in Brussels. Vin Cassidy and I discussed about it and in the next months, the idea developped, with the great help of Vin, James Nice, and Annik Honoré. I then looked for similar dates in neighbour countries to build a kind of mini-tour. For some reasons unnecessary to explain, the Melkweg date is indeed cancelled but another date in Holland is under construction. Cologne has never been confirmed. In any case, the Brussels dates is fully confirmed. Here is the programme. Concerts: Section 25, The Names, Crispy Ambulance, Kevin Hewick DJ sets: Martin Moscrop + local DJ's Exhibitions: Philippe Carly (photographs), Katja Ruge (photographs), Factory Benelux (posters and other stuff) Projections: Shadowplayers and various documents Additional things are being discussed. That weekend I've already got Re**:**Order on the Friday, Cemical Brothers Bixton on the Saturday and Midtablechester an Anfield whenever Sky fancy it.

Swap the Chems ticket for another night (they're doing 3), travel back on the Sunday morning (via Eurostar/Train) to Liverpool to see match (assuming it's not on in the morning)...

Chemicals would have to be Thursday (Re**:**Order Friday) which I'm sure I can't do for some other reason. And Sian bought the Sat night tickets and her "hot single" friend has the other spare.

Okay, "hot single" friend (assuming they're female!) might persuade me not to go to Belgium! 
As for Virgin trains, yup, know all about 'em - use them every other week.... 
(How about a flight, assuming the "hot single" friend is no longer single at the time of the gig)? :p
Anyone had any train/hotel thoughts yet? I'm tempted to go over on the Friday morning and have a day on the piss in Brussels and then the full Saturday before the gig, then travel back the Sunday morning. I don't recommend the hotels near Plan K, best bet is to stay somewhere near the Bvd Anspach, I can recommend a few places round there.

It's Re-order's 50th gig on the Friday night so stopping in town to see that.
Not looked at hotels yet but I'm catching Eurostar over Saturday AM and coming back around lunchtime Sunday.

Shit I thought Re: Order was the Monday for some reason. Solves that one then - I'll do Re: Order and stay in London overnight.

Booked the Novotel Tour Noire, pretty central and a good hotel with jacuzzi, I've stayed there before twice, £83 through Hotelclub.net

Exactamundo. We used the same tactic for the ACR gig last year. Waking up to see the Gare de Nord opposite the bedroom window wouldn't normally be my chosen site from all of Gay Paris but on this occasion, the morning after the night before etc, it was very welcome

Booked the same time Eurostar tickets, and they arrived on Friday, the day after the gig ticket - sorted!
Also got a hotel in Euston for the Re-order gig the night before, so getting to St Pancras at that time shouldn't be an issue!

I'll be over in a couple of weeks for a fortnight so a piss-up is in order.
