I think Banshee will be drinking in the Wetherspoons during the day. I can't get out until about 7 so I will meet you all in The Mad Ferret, opposite the venue.

Am thinking i might actually attend this.Haven't seen Bad Lieutenant yet and have just realised it's on a Saturday.B&B Whitburn House 1 mile from town centre has rooms £30 .

had to google that to check there really was a place called the Mad Ferret. is it a theme pub where the bar staff wear baggy jeans, hooded tops and fishing hats? and have sky digicol?

It is a theme pub, but not that. It's a music theme pub. Posters/prints everywhere. As you go in, the first window on the right sports an Unknown Pleasures roller blind!

Great do tonight.thanks to everyone yet again i had an on going joke with phil cunningham in the pub beforehand about bernard saying on finsbury park vid that phil was from 'oswaldtwistle'.( he aint f course ,but i am now ).then on stage Bernard AGAIN introduced phil as being from 'oswaldtistle'.haaaa..although only funny to me in the whole crowd of course. :\ohwell:

thanks to Jemma,Ang,Steve and Rach,Nobby top man ( johnny wasnt the only person flattened by wild horse norbets dancing btw ). Johnny,Alex,little James,Rocket mick (and his lady for the ticket),and everyone else for a top night.

I can only really remember the New Order stuff they did which i'm a bit pissed about 'cause i was more interested to hear what the Bad Loo stuff sounded like live. I was knocked clean over during Sink Or Swim, smashed my head on the floor full on.surprised i wasn't knocked unconcious.dunno who wallopped me i suspect it was norbert.rocket had warned me not to stand near him.thanks to all those who helped me up. Lot of banter from Barney, taking the piss out of Jake who retorted by calling Barney a jimmy summerville lookalike. Temptation was storming
Great gig.Good to meet the USUAL suspects and 
to the guy from Sunderland.He made me seem NORMAL!
He's done over 100 New Order gigs and numerous spin off ones to.Good to meet Jake and Phil.Who took the photos?
BL are getting rather good LIVE now but only seen them 3 times.Norbert i have SLIGHT bruising on my face from you Pushing me away!:D Several German Order turned up.Respect.

Aye that Sunderland guy was giving it the full on mentalist dancing all night.Starting to remember more about the gig now.Alan Wise did an intro.I found myself watching Steve drumming for quite long periods.Tryin to remember what Barney was saying about the audience at one point 
Fantastic night. BLT and Temptation were highlights for me.
Said hello to Alex, to which his response was "who are you?" despite me having been to most of The Fall gigs that he has since 1987 and having spoke to him at numerous Inspirals and New Order gigs in the last 10 years...............

Nice to meet up with some old friends such as RoCKet MIck,Banshee,jemma and ang,Johnny two sheds,Norbert and the German Order,to name but a few. Met Mike and missus from Barnsley too,spoke to him on myspace but i didnae know he was going to the gig!
Saw Jake and Phil in the mad ferret and were very obliging with the photo ops.
The set was very N.O heavy,as far as i can remember the BAD LOO songs they played were,This is home,poisonous intent and twist of fate,i reminded Bernard that it was the new single and was out on Monday,he told the crowd this too.
I think i got video from all the tracks played but i cant remember the order in which the were played.
Temptation came on and the crowd went wild especially Norbert,who was in the mosh pit moshing in his usual inimitable style,he knocked Johnny over at one point!
twas a really good night,seemed very stange during the N.O songs with someone playing bass instead of Hooky.
Banshee fell asleep whilst still STOOD UP aparrently
Got back to our hotel to find Phil and Jake staying there too! had a quick chat:but cannae remember what i said as i was rather inebriated! he did remember my name from earlier tho,which is nice!
all in all a very good night and many thanks to the old and new peeps i met!
I know I will incur the rath of some on this site but I have to say that last night's gig was far better than most of the New Order gigs I saw in 2005/2006. Barney is enjoying himself and smiling more than I've seen since Finsbury Park in 2002.
Its a real shame that they are playing to only 300-400 people (though I've never been as near to the front as I was last night!). I took about 10 mates with me last night, all of whom are New Order fans who have seen them live, including one lad who first saw them in 1984, yet none of them had heard of BL and, despite the fact that half of them live in Preston, would have missed the gig if I hadn't told them.
Bernard said back in whenever , he enjoyed the more intimate gigs,, less pressure maybe,, certainly enjoying the experience.
