2 more from Corby as well. Liam & Jax.

Think we're staying at the Jury Inn which is a drunken crawl away from the Ritz and only £75 for a double and brekky.

Three lads in a double?

Although Jax could be either sex, I guess?

Sounds kinky.

Just been on the Ritz website and, after our little shindig is this:

http://www.ritznightclub.co.uk/website/whatsOnDetail.aspx?dateFor=25/2/2011

which, from previous experience of gigs-followed-by-clubnights in Manchester means very early doors for the Smyths, and half-eight to nine start for re:order. They'll be shoo'ing us out of the place by half ten to clear up and make way for 'crazy' overseas students dancing to Enrique or something.

That's certainly what happened last time they played there - me and my mate played it a bit too cool and missed ReOrder all together. Gutted.

He still pulled though :thumb:

Dunno why, but Re-Order almost always open for The Smythes, hopefully Manchester will be different, where's JR JR when you need him?

Hi Shugzy, sorry pal, been busy working.

Reorder first followed by the Smyths at Manchester.

Club night seems to start at 11. Smyths will play for hour and a half so they're on at 9-30 ish

Reorder probably on about 8ish I suppose. So best be off your faces mashed by then.

Big massive thank you to everyone that's coming and those that can't that wish us well. I am staying overnight in Manchester that night so for a change I will actually out on the piss once all the gear is loaded into my hotel room.

I also heard that there is an "after-show party" which suspiciously sounds like a promotion for a nearby venue (not 251 b4 there's any speculation) When I know more, I'll let you know.

COME ON YOU VIKING BASTARDS!

Anything interesting on in Manc for 2602 as well?

I'm stopping an additional 24hrs in the north now so that I can nip over to Guiseley (where?) in the arvo.

On that note, does anyone need a first-class train ticket back to that-there London first thing Saturday morn? It's going spare now.

A MASSIVE MASSIVE thank you to everyone that came to see us from nearby places and far away countries on Friday at the Ritz.

Just under a thousand people were there and it was pretty rammed! I can only apologise for the sound of the first 3 or 4 songs..The sound engineers were shocking (they also did exactly the same for the first few numbers of the Smyths set)and after speaking with the promoters, that is not going to happen again.

But by the end of it all I think it worked out alright.. spontaneous crowd surfing et all.......... (Jemma, you're a lady. What were you doing?...)

You were a great crowd and I know we didn't get half the time we wanted to be with you afterwards because of the 11pm club curfew, so again, apologies that we couldn't get to you all and socialise better!

So, again, big thank you to you all and I promise we'll never ever play Subculture again.......

Twas a fantastic night, but I cannot take any credit for my crowd surfing antics. Big Ted picked me up and threw me, I had no choice in the matter. For a tough northern bird, I was actually a bit scared!

Met Alf for the first time too, I seem to have mixed him up with Spam, who I have met before! I'm stiff from headbanging in the Retro bar night club Rock Night.

Either way, can whoever has my eyebrows and money, please return them.

Jim, it was a brilliant night mate. Loved it!! You feel free to play SUBCULTURE whenever you want. Nowt wrong with a bit of gaydisco.... A big shout out to everyone, it was brilliant meeting you all again. JEMMIE you stunt woman you! Still there was no room for a roly-poly! Yeah can't believe RITZ had Jane's keyboards practically non-existant for first couple of numbers!

I've just remember something.....so I didn't drink as much as I normally do.....Jim,did I see Mr GENO aka Rick Banks come on stage helping you with the gear?

Really enjoyed myself, was great to see everyone albeit briefly. Sorry to miss a couple of people - Rocket and Jemma particularly. I also heard a rumour that Tim was there. Arrived late, left early, and stone cold sober all night. Is this den neuen Fünf, or simply that I had a horrible hangover from Wednesday and Thursday? Only time will tell.

From my vantage point on the balcony, I can only echo what I've read elsewhere about the sound. I wanted to battle my way into the mixing desk and sort it out myself. I don't know how they could stand there and NOT turn Jim up. Were they deaf or something? Pre. Posture. Us.

Will's new Rick looks and sounds the flipping biz, mind

[Ahem] I notice the London date at Xmas has now mysteriously disappeared from the ReOrder website. :skeptic:

Sort it aaart, chaps.

Excellent day/night/morning - I thought Will was simply repeating some genuine Barney bootleg comments from the early 80's for the first few tracks. You know, really getting into 'character'.

Seems not though.

And cheers to Nobby for posting at 4am he was in some bar in the Norvern Quarter. Me, Jert and Donato jumped in a cab and the facker was shut when we got there!

Lovely to see everyone though, as always.

Well done to Norbert for doing anything at 3am. He was like a buckled wheel when I saw him.

Fantastic turnout and thank fook people had camera's with them, otherwise I'd have forgotten loads.

Proper who's who roll call from the pub and gig - if memory serves (it probably won't)

Corby Order x 4, Al & Luton 1, Grahame, PHD, Jemma, Angela, Canada, Leggy D, Rocket, DoN, Stash, JT, Lucy, Greg, Tim, Carl, Jert, Norbert, Nickos Kingos, Rosie, Julie, Dave C, Sunderland 1, Jeanette, Ted Baker & Elliot, Mike & Mrs, Alf, Monty, Banshee, Ness and Alan, Col & Royser.......I'm running out now!!!

Mad craic, didnae have time to speak to everyone properly, spent most of the time in the pub garden laughing at/with Rocket, Greg, DoN, JT, Lucy, Carl & Jert, Leggy and Canada. Regailed Julie with Grahame about that famous lock in with Hooky in Glasgow 2004. Honestly Julie, it did happen.

Stumbled to the venue, met by the bouncy floor, as if anyone needed a push, place went mental to Age Of Consent, couldnae hear Will's quotes, but someone said he or JR JR gave the Corby Order a shout - cheers! Cracking set, early version of E/G/G can remember subculture (that HAS to stay in the set) Toothache, BLT, Regret etc...magic as always.

Watched as Jemma did a Superman impression over Nobby, and got whacked by the big fella's elbows a few times. Cannae remember too much of The Smyths cos i was a bit pissed, as for remembering anything back at Rain, forget it. Thoroughly enjoyable night......

Cannae wait to do it again in Northampton later this year.

RE ORDAH!

Thx for your reports. I can only follow the previous posts. Top night, brilliant gig. I didn't realise, that something was wrong with the sound. Glad to have seen everyone.

Sorry, Shug, for the forarm smash to your head without giving you a drink before.

Thx to Al, Jert and Don for coming over to the Moho. I posted it at 2.20 am with a german mobil phone. So it was obviously 3.20 am at facebook. I left there at around 3, went to Piccadilly and waited for the first bus to Heywood.
