I'm stopping an additional 24hrs in the north now so that I can nip over to Guiseley (where?) in the arvo.

On that note, does anyone need a first-class train ticket back to that-there London first thing Saturday morn? It's going spare now.

I'll be around that day, so thats interesting.

A MASSIVE MASSIVE thank you to everyone that came to see us from nearby places and far away countries on Friday at the Ritz.

Just under a thousand people were there and it was pretty rammed! I can only apologise for the sound of the first 3 or 4 songs..The sound engineers were shocking (they also did exactly the same for the first few numbers of the Smyths set)and after speaking with the promoters, that is not going to happen again.

But by the end of it all I think it worked out alright.. spontaneous crowd surfing et all.......... (Jemma, you're a lady. What were you doing?...)

You were a great crowd and I know we didn't get half the time we wanted to be with you afterwards because of the 11pm club curfew, so again, apologies that we couldn't get to you all and socialise better!

So, again, big thank you to you all and I promise we'll never ever play Subculture again.......

Twas a fantastic night, but I cannot take any credit for my crowd surfing antics. Big Ted picked me up and threw me, I had no choice in the matter. For a tough northern bird, I was actually a bit scared!

Met Alf for the first time too, I seem to have mixed him up with Spam, who I have met before! I'm stiff from headbanging in the Retro bar night club Rock Night.

Either way, can whoever has my eyebrows and money, please return them.

Jim, it was a brilliant night mate. Loved it!! You feel free to play SUBCULTURE whenever you want. Nowt wrong with a bit of gaydisco.... A big shout out to everyone, it was brilliant meeting you all again. JEMMIE you stunt woman you! Still there was no room for a roly-poly! Yeah can't believe RITZ had Jane's keyboards practically non-existant for first couple of numbers!

I've just remember something.....so I didn't drink as much as I normally do.....Jim,did I see Mr GENO aka Rick Banks come on stage helping you with the gear?

Really enjoyed myself, was great to see everyone albeit briefly. Sorry to miss a couple of people - Rocket and Jemma particularly. I also heard a rumour that Tim was there. Arrived late, left early, and stone cold sober all night. Is this den neuen Fünf, or simply that I had a horrible hangover from Wednesday and Thursday? Only time will tell.

From my vantage point on the balcony, I can only echo what I've read elsewhere about the sound. I wanted to battle my way into the mixing desk and sort it out myself. I don't know how they could stand there and NOT turn Jim up. Were they deaf or something? Pre. Posture. Us.

Will's new Rick looks and sounds the flipping biz, mind
