Got tickets for me and the Mrs. Haven't mentioned it to her yet as it is only 10 weeks after our baby will have been born..............!

I'm in... Although I realise I'm in a distinct minority here, I've always been a massive Blur fan, so chuffed to be seeing them as well as NO... Will also be the missus' first NO gig...

Don't know if I'll be staying until the end of Blur's set, but I'm in.

I'm in. Will also need to add Bestival to my signature.

4 tickets secured via BT presale. 2012 is going to be very expensive!

Would love to but looks like I'm in Denmark that weekend, should be at one of the other UK gigs, though haven't sorted tickets yet !

For the record, TicketBastard's "fees" can go fuck themselves. £6.00 booking per ticket and £3.50 for the pleasure of printing my own tickets at home. Worth every penny...

I know, I half read the email from them about it, saw the word 'unfortunately' and thought that somehow they had fcuked up and I hadn't got tickets after all... They'll be charging you for bringing a bag onto the site as well next... :nonono:

Don't panic, Nobby.

The gig's not for six months yet.

You'll be sick to the back teeth with them by then.

And they of each other, no doubt.

It doesn't bother me, because I usually print tickets a few days before I use them.

Like I give a flying fuck about the Olympics.

What a monumental waste of money this folly is.

Aye but you wouldn't be going even if it was a pure New Order gig   Giving a flying fuck about the Olympics and going to an open air festival where at least two very good bands (three if you like Blur) are playing is not mutually exclusive anyway. I don't care for the "games" either.

If it was the Wireless festival (same park, different branding) nobody would give a toss.

As El Jarvo suggested it's probably going to piss down on the day though :\ohwell:

I'm in. Although the £70 hotel room booked for the Brixton Academy gig has doubled in price to fleece Olympic punters. I'll be on the 23:30 six hour coach journey home...

I'm not bothering with this one.

I'm not bothering with this either. Not only is it one of those stupendous-in-demand shows that sells out in four minutes, at £55+fees, considering that they've already put something like 10 UK shows on sale this month, its not worth that much money to spend 60 minutes watching them in a massive field surrounded by braying Blur fans that couldn't give a monkeys. No doubt if you want to get down the front, there's a special VIP enclosure at £200 a ticket. Arsewank.

45 min set is no problem if you don't know what tracks they're going to play, but hope they don't cut the current set(-in-stone) down to 45 minutes...

If fairness, I'd rather see 45mins of stuff we know they're going to play ... rather than 90mins of stuff we also know they're going to play.

Definitely, though I will have the missus in tow and a fair few old uni mates are also going, but mainly to see Blur - but don't forget we have Brum before then - plenty of opportunity for beer'n'sheds beforehand - and the added bonus of Johnny... :thumb:

Has anyone got a spare ticket or two? My career problems appear to have set themselves positively as I have a new job..

It keeps niggling me about actually going to this afterall. Except i ain't got a ticket. £100+ on ebay and all those dodgy Seatwave things. What are the chances of a spare becoming available nearer the time i wonder.

Looked into trains as i'm guessing they'll be more expensive into London during the Olympics but can't get a price as they only release prices 13 weeks before date of travel.

I'm guessing, dunno why, that New Order will be on first.

I'd be straight outta there like a shot before Blur come on, obviously.
