Pay them lots of money, usually works. North America doesn't count as part of the world as far as they are concerned.

Tonights gig has made me realise that it is time to move onto pastures new.... In my opinion it was worse than awful ! The sound quality to be polite was very poor (I know Barney wasn't happy, but he wasn't paying £70 a ticket. I know it was £35, but our lass cryed off poorly)
I left early (during Temptation which sounded like the highlight of the show by the way), cos I couldn't take anymore. Was told while on the train that only Blue Monday was played as an encore with Barney pulling the rest of the band off the stage while they were waiting to start the second number of the encore.
Anyway, the train journey allowed me to reminisce of the 28 years spent following the band, from an 18 year old at the Sunderland Mayfair of 1984 to the present day, it has been, in the main a blast. We have travelled far & wide, from Glasgow to Barcelona - Hyde Park to Finsbury - Newcastle to Liverpool & every weekend inbetween coming home pissed up to turn the stack stereo system up to 11 so that all the neighbours wonder who has the green eyes !
I'm not ashamed to admit it, but a very misty eyed 46 year old with sunken shoulders exited the train at Durham station. Am I being over critical ? AOC - 1963 - Temptation - 586 - BLT...... It was full of classics, it should have been a one to remember, but instead it is the one which brings my love affair to an end. I should also say that even though I have agreed with everything that has been said about Hooky leaving the band ie he is dispensable & long live New Order, unfortunately & no disrespect at all to Tom Chapman........... he isn't & Hooky not being there is a massive MASSIVE miss. This of course is only my opinion & I wish all of you many more happy times with the band.... God Bless

Cheer up, soon be Christmas.
Pity, although you'd probably still enjoy Prague even without the festival. The Zagreb one seems rock solid for now.

How far is that festival from Gare du Nord Karine? There's a few of us coming over for it, if we survive Ibiza.

From Gare du Nord you can take the RER B to "le Bourget" (20 minutes top) then you have a shuttle for the festival.
The festival is in a HUGE park so don't be there too late : they are playing on the "Big stage" on friday at 22pm.
Shuttle working from :
Friday : 12h00 – 01h00 Saturday : 8h00 – 01h00 Sunday : 8h00 – 22h00
They're is a night bus even if you miss the last RER at the station "le Bourget" so you wont be stuck there.
If you want to take a look at the festival itself
You can also book online your ticket but I'm not sure it's working out from France (and I don't think it's necessary to be honest)

You can even do camping there but I don't think anyone would be interested.
All the hotels near the park appear to be booked up, so we're staying as close to Gare du Nord as possible and taking the RER B & Shuttle. We're arriving after 4 nights in Mallorca and Ibiza (via Paris Orly) so god knows what state we'll be in by the time we arrive.
Karine - any idea what time the last RER B train returns from le Bourget to Gare du Nord?

If your hotel is close to Gare du Nord then there's another shuttle to the festival (until 3am not 1am like they annonced at first) from the metro "La-Courneuve-8-Mai-1945" (until 1h29) and just in case there is a night bus (N42) (every hour from the last metro). From there you can go back to Gare de l'Est which is next to Gare du Nord.

P.S : I know it's look like a contradiction from what I told you before but from the metro you're closer to Paris I believe so you should try the second option at least to go back to your hotel because the metro stop later than the rer even if it takes a little more time.
