So, this link:

New Order Ticket Info

says:

WEDS 10th OCT: DENVER Broomfield 1st Bank Center on sale August 3rd 10am

and then links here:

Event Details

which says tickets are on sale August 10th at 10am.

Ticketmaster doesn't even list the Denver show yet.

So, does anybody know if a presale is happening on Aug. 3rd, and if so, where? If it's Aug. 10th, fine, I just don't want to miss out and discover the show sold out a week earlier. [:eek]

Yeah, went on sale at 10am local time.

That link above is the one I used to get through.

Is there anything to do in Denver?

No clue. I've flown through and driven through there but never actually gone out there. Maybe somebody local will have some suggestions.

If you have a few hours, a trip to Mt. Evans is pretty damn interesting. You drive up a "road" carved into the side of the mountain, which ends about 100 ft or so shy of the actual summit...make an easy hike to the top, then you can tell all your friends you've been to the top of a 14,000 foot mountain...ooooh...except I forget...by October the road will probably be closed...

too bad...there's lots of interesting scenery on that drive...

Drive out to Golden and take the Coors brewery tour...the tour itself sucks...but the three free beers are your reward...and if they still have the recipe from before prohibition to sample, it's pretty good...for a Coors product....

Just bought me tix. Looking forward to the 12 hour drive. not looking forward to telling Wifey that we are going. Perhaps take someone else. This is the third time that I have purchased tickets for New Order but I have yet to see them due to circumstances out of my control. Hoping that my ship does not get sunk for the third time![:(]

Hope to meet you all there. Call me The Stranded Viking

You could give me a lift on the way [hi] But seriously, I thought of driving, too (9 hours) and then I checked airline tickets: it's practically the same price considering gas and meal breaks, if not cheaper to fly. So I think I will get on airplane.

Split the cab bill to and fro the airport? Plane tix are cheap indeed!

Renting a car would be cheaper (=$19).

Skyride bus from airport to Boulder. Mountain Sun Brew Pub in Boulder then bus to venue. Or split rental fee

Sounds like a good plan.

I met with people from New Belgian Brewery who I will be working with on Sunday for Urban Assault Ride. It was his suggestion. There is a bus from Boulder to the venue and back. Skyride resumes operations from Boulder to the airport at 330 am for those that want to get home asap.

Ideally, I'd prefer to fly back home early next morning (job, etc.). Got no airplane tickets yet. It's a good idea to rent a car to get around and split.

Keep in touch and PM me. Plane tix jumped $20 from last week. Got 2 round trippers for $380

What timer is your flight in and out? Thinking about Boulder unless something decent and thrifty near venue. Must be near booze!😈

Getting in Wednesday around 4PM, leaving Thursday around 5PM. Haven't decided if I'm going to rent a car yet.

Booked a place near the U of Colorado in Boulder. Near bus line. Have to leave venue and get on bus at 1052pm, not a problem hope there is a pub nearby for the wait b/c NO will only play 15 tracks or so. Americas Best Value Inn and Suites, $78 with tax, yeah, I am cheap and considering that this room is for a few hours of sleep, I don't care. Looking forward to raiding college bars after the show.

Can someone post up a pre-gig meet?

A bar near the venue, either someone who knows the area or whoever gets their early!

From looking at Google there's only one bar within walking distance of the venue. Aloft Broomfield.

Happy Hour

Join us for Happy Hour from 4 to 6pm daily. We are currently offering $4 New Belgium pints during all open hours.

By the way JG can win there a trip for two to London.

I'm getting in by 2-3 pm on Wednesday, leaving at midnight.

So where is everyone gathering before the gig for drinks? Anywhere in Boulder? Or at that Loft bar?

Band in Topform. Good Crowd. Nice Venue.

JG, Ian and me were before in Proto's (having tea) and then in w xyz-bar (beer). A lot of people were in the bar. So we couldn't find out who were New Order related. We gave Micro Mike a show, but nobody noticed it.

Nobody noticed a 7ft German waving around a 3ft inflatable microphone? [ohwell]

Not very observant in Denver, are they?

Got to Denver in the afternoon and couldn't get any wifi to contact people until we reached the bar.

Sat in the bar with Norbert and Ian but couldn't log into NOOL for some reason so couldn't text you Pyrtwist.

Everyone enjoy the gig?.

Bit lively down the front, one lad got pulled out by security for trying to push his way through. In fact the security saved him from being killed by the crowd!. Nobby almost got in a flight with some Denver meat head, for trying to allow girls to push past and stand in front of him. Never seen anyone so relieved as Nobby when the guy left during Blue Monday!

Great reaction from the Denver crowd, maybe that's why the band played an extra song in the encore??.

Got to town LATE afternoon. No Barcode kind enough to give us a lift to and fro venue. Got to w xyz bar about late 6ish, business class posh. Spotted someone with a 2005 tour shirt so we stalked him and drank about 4 or 5 pints each before the 4 of us went to the show.

Stupid me paid for seats instead of gen ad and the event staff did not let Mary and I on the floor. Mary bought 1 shirt, I got 3. Great show I thought although the sound got a little muddled toward the middle. Never understod what Bernard said except when he busted out the melodica.

After gig found a sub shop, ate one then crashed. Great day! More beer than food!

Can any of you post pictures of the shirts? I've only seen the one with the Canada/US/Mexico hybrid flag on it. Seeing them next week in NYC and considering buying a shirt at a show for the first time in years. Because their designs are usually amazing.

New Order on front, NA tour dates on back, all 7 US dates

A couple of balck JD shirts

Yes, a good show!! Before the gig I was at the Loft bar with Pyrtwist, his wife and joined by another NO fan (non-NOOLer). I tried to figure out who in the crowd might be fellow NOOLers but unfortunately could not tell (the only people I would be able to recognize anyway are El Jarvo and JG, recall them from a 2005 gig).

And on top of that NOOL was down, as if just to add its share of disconnection and disorganization to the perfection pursued by New Order on stage these days.

I showed it only in the w xyz-bar. Maybe just only at the wrong time.

I still ask myself, what that guy wanted at the gig. One of the girls pushed him and he thought it was me. I didn't want to stand before him, because I was in 5th row. Before I had nearly a fight with him when I said to him he should release the lad he catched. After that moment, I thought he waited only for the first opportunity to smack my face, He released him, when he noticed I was taller than him, but it didn't help this guy, because the security catched him then. That the security throw out this "real" fan out, was very poor. He has done absolutely nothing, beside of to be excited.

Hmm I was in the 4th row, in front of Barney, all the time and there were a few blokes who wanted to do some moshing but it didn't go well with the crowd around, ha :)
