Great show last night. Honestly, I don't know why they go back to this setlist more often. Even though there were a lot of deep cuts, a lot of people were singing along to them. Bernard even said after Guilt is a Useless Emotion, "that's a fun song isn't it? Why don't we play it more often?" Disorder, Shellshock, and Dream Attack got huge reactions. I hope this concert proved that they don't have to do the same setlist every time.

It's ironic, because since it's pretty much the MIF setlist, with true faith, blue monday and temptation added.
That doesn't mean its the same setlist everytime, it's the same MIF setlist, so that's not really anything new either.
it's just that people over here finally get to see them play some of those songs (which isn't necessarily a good thing either).

I found a clip on Instagram. Sounds like they’ve gone back to the original arrangement, but spruced it up like Subculture.

Over two nights, they've played 27 different songs so far. Almost two completely different sets. Not half bad, New Order! Keep it up!
Saw online that a fan met him and asked Bernard for Love Vigilantes this weekend. I hope they keep Age of Consent in there, and I'd rather have Ceremony than Transmission/Control. Isolation would be neat.
I wonder if the weekend surprises might include any guests? Brandon Flowers? Iggy Pop?

I have made a quick research on setlist.com and found it first played live at Nakano Sun Plaza, Tokyo, Jan 28, 1987 — I was there and the song was the show opener. Now I know I was a witness to its live debut. A little enlightenment.

Glad I'm not alone. I got into the band around True Faith, so I was looking forward to a similar, hard-hitting follow-up and I wasn't disappointed with TBTHOG.
Here's an interesting fact about New Order and the sets they play:
Since the band reformed in 2011, they have played a total of 56 different songs (not including any covers, such as 'San Francisco', 'Shades', 'Be My Wife' etc.). Over the two Miami nights so far, they've played a total of 27 different songs out of 35 songs played in total (8 songs were played on both nights; BLT, BM, GIUE, LWTUA, Plastic, Sub-Culture, Temptation and TF).
So they still have a choice of 29 songs, that are in their current repertoire, that they could draw from for the two remaining gigs. Even if you factor in a few songs that they'll probably play on all three nights (Temptation, BLT, TF, BM, LWTUA etc.), they could easily fill the rest of the two sets with tracks from their 'current' repertoire (i.e. ones that have been played since 2011) and we'd have four very different nights.
The reason I mention this is that I was quite surprised. In my head, I've been of the opinion that the band aren't changing the set that much (which, I know, is partly true). But 56 different songs over 10 years ain't too bad for a band that, in theory, could just be giving us their 'greatest hits' and having us put up with that.
For information here's a list of post 2011 songs (29 in total) that the band haven't played in Miami yet:

The only downside in all this is the fact that, New Order could easily play all 56 songs that are in the current line-up over the four nights, without introducing any 'new old' songs (Everything's Gone Green, is the obvious one, for instance).
They used Times Change as their walk-on music both nights. I even posted a link above. It’s not fair to say they’ve performed it, when it was performed by the synth orchestra before the band hit the stage during those gigs.
I don’t see them doing a proper full band performance. While I love the music and the chorus, the rapping verses have not aged well at all.
Yeah - my bad. I missed that link. As they walked on to to the song, we can pretty much eliminate the track from getting a 'full band performance' at the next two shows.
Agreed with the band not really 'performing' the track at the MiF gigs, but I still class this as a 'live' version of the song as it was played 'live' on stage (as opposed to a recorded piece) and was performed by musicians who were integral to the whole project. Effectively, for those MiF gigs, the synth orchestra were part of the band.
I'm also in agreement about the rapping on Times Change sounding pretty dated. I was never a fan of the track anyway really. Although the music was good, the rapping always sounded a little bit rubbish to me (unlike Bernard's rapping on 'Idiot Country' two years previous, which I thought was great!).

I went to the gig on the 14th and the back drop to Times Change was shots of Miami from years gone by, it really got the atmosphere going. That's the first time Ive seen the band abroad and didn't know what to expect atmosphere wise but it turned out to be superb, no pogoing but wall to wall dancing. I had a great time.

You can now add The Perfect Kiss, Regret and Turn My Way to the Miami tally.
Interesting that they sound checked with Perfect Kiss for last nights gig but didn't include it in the set?
