This is NOT a cryptic teaser, just something to get you thinking. (I know, I should have buggered off ages ago - my hearse has been kept waiting for me for too long now....)

What's going on here? This is all very bewildering for a relative newcomer!

Come to think of it: It could be The first two singles by The Missing Link where Nick Cave was the singer?

So Nick Cave is the missing link between Motorhead and Bernard Sumner??

Jeesus! Nick Cave??? Are you serious?? No! No!! and Thrice No!!!

Re Martin:

I've been trying now and listened to Motorhead's "Overkill" for the "fun of it" and for sake of this thread, and the only link I could find was rather absurd. Some journalists said Lemmy had the same style of threating the bass guitar?? and the title "Overkill" has some similarities to "Kill them all. In God wed trust" from "Pumped full of drugs". This is rather absurd, though.

Wow Martin, you're the first person to mention the mighty Motorhead on these pages: I was a huge fan from my teenage years when they were regardede as the only cool "metal" band to be adored equally by Punks as well (my punk pedigree is indeed first generation - 1977)

Er, this link thingy is a bit odd though...how on earth can Motorhead have anything to do with New Order?

despite what you said this thread really does have quite a close resemblance to your little cryptic teasers martin. no i don't know and i can't be bothered to make my brain work. is it a person or a thing that links them or is that giving too much away?

Erm....Motorhead and New Order? Christ on rollerskates man, what the hell are you trying to do to our brains Martin?

Explain yourself.
