Vanishing Point, its the first one our kid asked me to put on by the Order, He'd never shown much interest before. I just like it more than the others ,on most days. The John Denver cover is pretty good though
This was always going to be the tricky one - Dream Attack or Vanishing Point - I've never been able to settle on one of those two. But all those bootlegs from 1989 which have been circulating recently have reminded me that Dream Attack really was one of the highlights of those shows, so it gets my vote today.
Yeah, I don't get tired of hearing "Mr. Disco". Good synths and a bounty of eerie lyrics. Vintage.
Always liked Round and Round...and now I'm round and round (little on the hefty side) so I picked that one ![]()
Vanishing Point all the way. Dream Attack and Run are close, as is Round and Round to a lesser degree. The rest of the album is crap though!
Toughest choice of all albums for me, hence the reason me not voting on the old thread for Technique.
I went for Run, but it really could have been ANY of the others.
This is too hard!!![]()
Oh well, gonna hafta go with the Dream Attack...I don't like choosing like this Slippy...I'm feeling guilty. I'm gonna go feed my fish.![]()

Enjoyed it live, but the LP version just has too much fat round the midsection...oh well, I think it is just to "Plodding" for some reason. But to each his/her own!!![]()
very hard this one, went with Dream Attack although Vanishing Point, Guilty Partner (and actually all apart from Fine Time) are favourites too ![]()
VP. is one of the songs that had more impact on me in my entire life. the first time i heard it i was paralized by such beauty. it was too much for my ears and a small tear started to roll down my face. ![]()

I think it's the live versions the I've been listening to lately that influenced my choice...guess I should've popped in the studio version before I voted!!!

you know how we latins are.... "emotional" i think is the word i´m looking for ;)
Vanishing Point is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever writen. In lyrics department as well. Love, hope and a sleeping demon.

I buy that. ![]()
I won't be popular for saying this but Technique is one of my least favourite NO albums
- however, I will vote for Dream Attack.
Is it just me who likes the name Mr Disco? I recall picking this up from WH Smiths in Church Street. How mad is that BTW? (you could still buy vinyl there as recently as that) OK actually thinking about it, it wasn't that recently. Anyway, knowing the direction Fine Time had taken them in, it looked like the track I most wanted to hear from the name alone. I think it looks great written down.
Best album I've ever heard... I voted for Dream Attack.
I wish Run2 12" mix was on the standard album though...
Fave of the album when it was released used to be Dream Attack, but I've found myself drawn to Round And Round for the last couple of years, so it's for the latter I voted.
you'll come back to Dream Attack....my theme song. i love this song. probably my favorite song ever. dream attack would be a nice addition to the live set. surely that one won't be too hard for Roger to sequence.
yeh Dream Attack (great pop song)... it has aged more gracefully than the rest on this album ![]()
I always start this album on track 6 and before that, side 2. Run, Mr Disco and Dream Attack are the only songs I like on this my least favorite of the Factory LPs (but I like those songs quite a bit). I voted for Run, but it could easlily have been either Mr Disco or Dream attack.
Ah, Technique. My favourite NO album (in fact my second favourite album ever after Unknown Pleasures).
Side 2 is the best side of any album ever, too. Anyway, I'm voting Dream Attack which will come as no surprise to those of you who ridiculed a certain poll I may or may not have been involved in a little while back.
And I see it's winning, which is nice.
