What New Order posters/merchandise adourns your walls in your household?

When I was at Uni my walls were covered in NO albums, a Closer Poster, Disappointed Poster, an 8foot laminated lino Republic poster and a Substance 87 poster. Ahh those were the days!!

And as for why I threw them all in the bin years ago...??

Nowdays its much more subtle, I only have 4 NO/JD Saville works of art (courtesy of a very good friend! ) a Sonia Delaunay picture, an untitled abstract type lighthouse watercolour and two other untitled pictures not got a clue what they are but i just liked the look of them!

Oh and a OneUnited group picture of the squad holding up the league trophy last season.. ohh those were the days!! ;)

at boarding school my roommate and i had the low-life NO poster and the JD closer poster facing one another. right now i have a small les bains douches poster and a 24HPP movie poster.

Don't care much for NO/JD on the wall myself. I like my assortment of Van Gogh reprints. At least Deek likes them as well ;)

I have a Van Gogh print of Sunflowers from Amsterdam in my living room

Al, I still have a Woolwich Coronet promo poster.

Those were the days

About 20 in tubes. None on the walls these days.

I have a framed Low-Life poster on the wall in the spare bedroom,had loads when i was younger. I remember seeing the Fine Time posters in Our Price all those years ago & not buying them cos they were only small-well pissed off now they`re selling at £100+ on eBay!

shit,i got rid of a few of the above to noolers for a song due to space restrictions,still got a few of the others for sale i suppose,but could always sell them on ebay for a rediculous amount,especially if the fine time poster that recently fetched £88 is anything to go by!!!!!!

Most of the walls in the main rooms are bare, my book room has a bunch of Oregon posters, and the room with my computer and stereo has a Mekons poster as well as some choice gig flyers from the years, such as NO in Oakland 85, Cabaret Voltaire with Faith No More San Fran 85, I think, The Chills and Go Betweens from 89, and a heavy duty gig from 88 with Sonic Youth, Screaming Trees, and Mudhoney. There are a few artistic photos scattered in some other rooms, including a beautiful waterfall from China that is right about the john

The only music posters that are visible to most are these, at the top of the small flight of stairs....

If ya can't see 'em clearly, the one in the middle is for the video of TPK, and the one on the right is the Factory/Rough Trade US promo poster for PC& L.

I have a LWTUA poster and a PCL US release sticker below it. I wish I had more. My little brother has the JD fence poster. However, I make up for it with a Pixies Surfer Rosa poster, Cure poster, Clash "Give Em Enough Rope" reprint US tour poster, Fight Club, Edward Scissorhands, Clockwork Orange, and there's a print of Hopper's painting "Nighthawks," a DM poster, and some other posters at home. Yep, lots of posters.

Oh, and Don, you may want to edit your post, change the word 'cup' to 'trophy'. Just think about the difference between the League Cup and the League (Championship) Trophy. ;)

i never owned joy div/new order posters but after i got all the albums on cd, i took all the casette insert cards and made a nice collage of them and put it beside a few new order postcards. it resembled one of those cardboard promo flats and looked pretty cool.

I used to have a massive true faith 94 poster, but it pretty much fell to bits. I've got a temptation black one with the coloured cones on it and also a really awful one of barney with no top on shouting into the mic. None of these are on my walls anymore. In fact, i have no idea where they are...

Imagine my 8foot laminated Republic falling down in the middle of the night then! like a bloody sheet of solid plastic falling on yer!! made a hell of a noise and scared the shit out of me the first time!!

I ended up holding it up with drawing pins in the end it was so heavy

I have no NEW ORDER posters at the moment on the walls.I have owned some but gave them all away.Maybe when i do up PLANET ROCKET i will eventually put some up if i can get through my IT HAS A SLIGHT CREASE SO I CANNOT PUT THE POSTER UP ON THE WALL PHASE.This has been happening for 20 years plus now.I need to get some more therapy. ALL IN ALL I'M JUST ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL!:D

I have huge, ugly GMEX '88 up at home in the living room, plus ridiculously vast Crystal promo poster adorning bedroom wall. In my office I have Get Ready tour poster, "Closer" and 24HPP promo - cue bemused looks from youthful students with "Wot-no-Busted/Radiohead/Strokes etc.?" expressions......

never mind the middle & the right hand side - that's the paradise garage one on the left isn't it you lucky so & so!

used to have the revenge album sleeve up...

now have just moved house & have the poster for secretary up in the lounge (the one with the long legs/ arse ) harold lloyd (my old avatar) in safety last in the bedroom & audrey hepburn in the hall.

getting some more prints soon.

Get ready tour poster framed and in office, two Central Station originals , three Bob Carlos Clarke originals, signed and framed James Herbert promos for Portent and By horror haunted in back bedroom/chill room and a large Rosenquist print. And a large faux Damien Hirst spin painting in the kitchen.

Would like a Paul Simonon original for the conservatory, but Mrs garymac reckons they're a bit pricey.

I've got the JD Substance Qwest promo up in the study and that's it for JD/NO stuff. 3 Wilco posters from all the Fillmore shows beween '97 and 2000 round out the music stuff. I've a bunch of stuff in tubes (including a Paris '87 subway sized thing that I'll probably never have room for). Tried to bid on an Aussie promo poster for the '87 tour, but someone from Miami beat me out at the last second

A very nice man who most of us know gave me a TBTHOG poster signed by Hooky, Peter Saville and Trevor Key at Christmas just past. It's now framed and on the wall in my kitchen.

Tip of the day:

Put a small piece of cellotape at each corner on the back of the poster & stick to wall/door etc. with blu-tack. When taking them down you can do so safe in the knowledge that you won't destroy them.

I've got no posters in my room at all and haven't had for years; my room's used as a corridor to another, fancier room in the house, so I'm not supposed to have any. :(

Why yes it is indeed, yes I was quite lucky to get that one for 5 bucks from my pal who ran a record store back then. :)

On the bedroom wall I've got the large Factus 8 subway poster I bought from Afflecks Palace in the summer of love (1988 I think). And facing it on the opposite wall, Fine Time and a very nice Hacienda 11th birthday poster:

I know Mark Holt from 8vo designed quite a few of these up to number 10, but this one could be a Saville or more likely Mark Farrow.

I used to have a Substance poster with the blue flower...but after a house party a couple of years ago I discovered it badly ripped and beyond repair. Never did find out who was responsible either...sniff. I've even tried to find a copy now and then on ebay, but without much luck. So if any kind soul has a copy rolled up under their bed, name your price.

My bedroom has always been covered with New Order: mostly music magazines covers and ads for records (almost everything since 1991), some other pics, a couple of promo postcards and a huge Republic poster given free with Select...

Yes you definitely lost the League Cup final.

Before I left home I used to have a Touched by the Hand of God poster and the one from the NME of Barney and Barnsey from the time of World in Moion. I also had a 4' red letter 'E' that was originally part of the FUNHOUSE sign at Southport fair. The only poster I can find at the moment is a Republic one from select that came folded ergo permanently creased. So nothing on my walls. Wouldn't mind a waste painting.
