Ahhh, most people have the bit they want on video already, and a few people on here have it on dvd.....

Uh...actually, no one has She's Lost Control from Granada TV (same session as the well-known Shadowplay vid is from), because it's never been released. There's a website with alleged stills from that performance (see current thread on JD Central forum). Rumors that it could be included on a JD DVD that includes everything from Substance and HATYM, plus perhaps more footage from the Plan K show that the HATYM opening credits play over.

I have Shadowplay, She's Lost Control, and there was a 3rd song, Transmission maybe?
Not sure about that, but somebody sent me a tape of this back in 1998...
as far as im aware jd did transmission and shes lost control for bbc2 something else program,they had the uknown pleasures squiglley lines as a prop in the background. they also did shadowplay for granada tv,this is the performance that was set up after ian called wilson a cunt for not gettin them on his show. now ive asked this before but does anyone and i mean ANYONE? have the animated video shown on old grey whistle test for "isolation"????

Whoops. My mistake. There aren't stills for it. The ones I thought were stills were actually from the Bowden Vale footage--which is why I was skeptical since it was all orangey-brown tinted!
Anyway, Marko says that the SLC performance from Granada TV has the program's end credits rolling over it, so that's why it was never released or rebroadcast. Still, I'd welcome any new footage, no matter how distracting some scrolling words are.

No, they are from the BBC programme "Something Else" (as it says in the background at the right), not from Granada TV. Good pics though.
I just got a JD bootleg DVD with HATYM and Substance in the mail today. Getting ready to watch it.

the bottom line is it takes ages...years......forever for new order or anyone connected with them to even put the kettle on........

sadly the likelihood of someone digging out, getting the rights to and cleaning up footage for a proper DVD (and not just a DVD made from VHS tapes=VHS tape quality DVD) is shall we say......slim.
Only us lot will buy it and the average punter would be appalled at the quality of HATYM.
i would, however, love to be proved wrong!
Cherry Red records are looking for ideas of what to release on dvd - most of what Cherry Red have release has been licensed from IKON videos(Cabaret Voltaire,The Fall etc) so if you really want to see this dvd email

and whatever happened to the JD "Substance" video? they even came up with two sleeve designs for it and...nothing.
Wasn't the Substance video some kind of in-store promo? At any rate, I shelled out too much money to get a lousy copy off ebay.
