Ian's Guitar?

Does anyone know where i can get a Vox Phantom or w/e the model is called that Ian used? Im looking for a Repilica of the Orignal, Cuase i heard the orignal is very hard to get your hands on, is their any sites you guys now of?

well spikes raised a good question here,well at least for me anyways. where is the original???? in barneys hands ect or in a collectors? personally id like to see it in my own personall collection of originall y worn by ian shirts,pants n shoes ect. joking aside whereisit?.

It got knicked along with a van load of other equipment in America, if I remember rightly.

Ian's guitar wasn't amongst the stolen (and recovered about 15 years later) equipment. Barney's playing it in 'Taras Shevchenko' and it was most recently seen in Twenty Four Hour Party People.

Also if I remember correctly they were built in tiny numbers originally too. A fairly hi-tech box, being a guitar with all manner of built in shit, a mate of mine used to play in some awful roack band in the 70's and their axetwat had one, said his party piece was makinit sound like a seagull. There's something goind ong with it in Taras, but it';s really hard to tell since Steve is doing all manner of crap with his drums too ( talkin bout end of temptation).

Steve's drums gave those trippy effects right at the end, but for the wild feedback and stuff, I think it was also Barney playing around with the equipment in the back of the stage, kinda behind Gillian.

are you sure about that? I don't think Mike has any Eastwood Phantoms, much less one for $200.

if money's no object then try music ground... http://www.musicground.com ..none currently listed although they have some nice teardrops in at the moment. if you ask they can usually find a guitar although as I said "if money's no object"

He calls it a V6, and quoted me $199 for a white one.

when did he quote you that price? I talked to him a month or so ago, and he only had one cherryburst color for $299. If he has a white one for $199, I am VERY interested in getting one from him.

Back in March - was offering me a new one for the price of a demo one. Unfortunately I had just bought a Gibson 335 so couldn't stretch to two new guitars in a week!

Nope - got that in London, far easier to get it here and a far better price than I would have to pay for getting one shipped over. I've not bought anything from him.

ill take some pics of my Vox when its mailed here, their was one on Ebay and it was a replica, not a real Vox, but it still is to me! lol:D

ill do anything to get anything that ian used, next a Melodica for IALP
