cd promos question?

was there a cd promo issued for the following items: new order- the rest of uk/us vers new order- fine time us vers new order- world in motion 1990 us vers electronic - dissapointed us

would be nice to know,even better to see sum pics! regards

CD promos eh...Hmmmm, good question! I've not seen any of them on CD promo yet. Only vinyl.

For the Best Of album I'd assume that BM95 and perhaps the 1963 and Let's Go singles were used as a promotion for the album. There is no real need to send out a best of compilation to radio stations - they probably have the stuff already anyway.

As for the other singles - the US has had a bad habit of using so called "Gold Stamped"-promos. In other words, the regular pressing with an ugly stamp (often in gold) saying that it's a promo. Not worth mentioning in a discography.

Or instead of gold stamp, they do a hole in the UPC code....
