according to channel 4 teletext pop page today (page 351) Sir Bernard Sumner says he likes sirens, but prefers the new album due july 2006. "sirens is great, but i kind of prefer the next one. we had a real rush at the end of sirens, which is unusual for us. the new ones just need some tinkering." full interview next week, apparently. btw, does anyone know if the mtv2 coverage of the NME awards was any different to last nights on channel 4 (I.e. all 4 songs)?
